I test drove one earlier this week in Newport Beach and now I'm seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on the 570s. I know its an impractical car for day to day use and would be purchasing it for investment purposes really with minor recreational use. My wife actually is encouraging me to buy it which is opposite of what I thought she would say but want to get someone else who own(s)(ed) one so I don't throw away money.

Subtle, “I can burn a few 100 grand” brag.

Maybe, I wouldn't discuss it on TD.

McLarens are nice cars, no doubt, at least nicer than mine... but even if i were a billionaire like Michael Bloomberg or something, i dont think I’d drive one since theyre too high profile.. i can think of several other cars i’d buy with that several hundred thousand dollars, just personal preference though.

Unless it’s an F1, Mclarens depreciate extremely fast. 570s especially.

McLaren's have terrible resale value and that's putting it mildly. Unless it's a F1 forget about investment. Mclarenlife.com has a ton of owners over there you can ask about ownership experience. Reliability is also something to ponder.

If your going to spend 200k on a car, at least get a Mercedes-AMG GT-R

With a price tag at $1+M, my maid only likes it for week day travel.

No one on here owns a McLaren, and you aren't buying one.

So did you make this thread solely to brag about how much money you have?
