Unless it’s an F1, Mclarens depreciate extremely fast. 570s especially.

It isn't a Range Rover and they only made less than 1700 570S world-wide last year so no they don't depreciate unless you are a rapper who thinks this is a commuter.

I know its an impractical car for day to day use and would be purchasing it for investment purposes really with minor recreational use.

Check out the VinWiki YouTube channel. Lots of info on exotics and investment cars. I think you’ll see that buying a new McClaren is a bad idea. It’s very rare that a car beats traditional investment methods.

Because he said he wants it for investment purposes. That's the wrong car to buy if you're looking for a return.

What makes you think it won't depreciate? It is an ordinary supercar, expect 5 digit depreciation every year.

Did the salesman tell you that it wouldn't lose value? Because I know someone with a launch edition Supra that believes it will be worth 30k more in a couple years.

No, but I’ve driven one several times on an Ipad game. Does that count?

Can be one of the most entertaining channels out there.

Exotic car salesmen have to hate Ed because of the knowledge he drops.

While there are not insignificant amount of exotic cars that will appreciate over time, there are only a small handful that will appreciate to the point that you'd be better off than traditional equity investing.

A 570s is not even in the same stratosphere of those vehicles. Even if it did appreciate (it won't) it would never even come close to beating the market.

Yes I realize this is a stupid response thread.

This is not the place for this kind of question.

Entry level cars are never an investment, you need to get something special.

You would be better off getting a rare muscle car from the 60s.

Heck a Lamborghini Countach would be a better investment than a 570.

I don’t but a good friend has a 570 and their notorious for having issues. Still fun cars but be prepared for some hefty maintenance costs. Oh and their terrible investments. If you want something fun to drive, get it. Don’t be delusional and th8nk you’ll make money on it.
