This is like a wife asking if you want to go to the grocery store with her. You are going, it’s just a matter of whether it’s your choice or their choice. Choose to go before they tell you that you are going.
And, you’d have to explain the downside of moving away from BR for 18 months for more money and bills being paid. I am missing it so far in your description.

I did it a few times early in my career and it can get pretty lonely. That was really the only downside. I'm pretty introverted and have acute social anxiety though, so it's hard for me to meet new people in a short amount of time. Spent a lot of time in bars and movie theaters on a few of those assignments.

I like the eastern Carolina vinegar sauce but love the South Carolina mustard sauce.

Mustard sauce is great on white meat, but the only thing I want on my pork is pepper-vinegar sauce.

I tried combining the bbq sauces of where I'm from, and where I live now.
Don't do that.

My God baw, did you mix together white sauce and mustard sauce?

Ew.
I make a vinegar sauce (apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, salt, cayenne, and black pepper) that I use on everything, including salads. Can't get enough of the stuff.

Yes. Don't judge me.
Just don't also make my same mistake.

I haven't really had a style of BBQ that I don't like. I used to go to this place called Lexington BBQ when I was in that area of NC. It was pretty damn solid.

Sanford itself is boring and just like every other small town in the south, has its good and bad areas.
Pretty solid location overall though. Very close to Pinehurst and Southern Pines, which is nice. Pittsboro and Raleigh suburbs like Holly Springs, Fuquay, and Apex are no more than 30-45 min away...lots to do in those places. You’re also closer to the beaches than if you were in Raleigh or Greensboro

If, for whatever reason, you find yourself in the tiny little place of Longcreek, SC (where the Chattooga is), there is a little BBQ place only open on weekends called Brasstown that has, by far, the best smoked chicken and mustard sauce I've ever had. I contemplate booking rafting trips just so I can get it again.

You can go wrong in NC, weather is awesome.
I'd go for it.
I'd go for it.

If you are an hourly employee (non-exempt) they have to pay you 1.5xs your salary after 40 hours. Fair Labor Standards Act

An excellent choice, Lexington BBQ rocks. If we ever get out of this quarantine bs, Lexington's BBQ festival is worth checking out.

Yup. Been there. Go every time we run the Chattooga. I've never had their chicken though, since I've been smoking chicken since I was a kid and most places aren't up to my standards. I'll have to give it a shot when I'm there again though.

Hell I'd do it. You can bank your per diem and come back with a nice chunk of change. How much is the per diem? Is it only paid on days you work? Is it cash?

Bougie military baws from Bragg live in nice houses there. That's all I got.
I joke because that's where a few of my old room mates from my service days now live with their families.

Sounds like a no-brainer for a temp posting
