Considering it could cost up to $5000 for the Tenex procedure, and there are a few mixed reviews about the results, I'm not so sure that the high end tennis shoes and socks with no recurrence aren't an adequate solution.

Wear the best quality shoes you own; i.e. running shoes, even in dress attire. Inserts can help too.

I have been dealing with pf for about six months. Sorry but the socks are worthless. Get you some shoe inserts and some KT tape. YouTube will show you how to apply it correctly. The improvement in pain relief is immediate. I tried compression socks and the pain got worse. Be sure you stretch your calves and the front of your shin by pulling your foot down. Good luck with your issue. Btw I am an RN and can give you a few more pointers if you want. Have a great day.

I used the Powerstep Inserts, they have different types but the link has links to those as well. I bought mine at the shoe store on Perkins in same parking lot as Maxwell Market but I know you can get them other places too or online.

I bought some Spenco insoles for all of my shoes and they fixed my plantar right up.

I self diagnosed myself with it. Was shooting a movie where we spent 12-14 hours on concrete and slowly the left foot started hurting. Did a little googling of symptoms and it came up with that. I switched shoes and search Amazon for socks. There was one FDA approved and they ran about 18.99 a pair. That mixed with having a few less days on concrete and the soreness has slowly gone away. I have also done the stretches that I have read to do. I recommend wearing them at night that is when I noticed the most improvement.

Mine got to where I was having terrible heel pain in the morning. I got some Physix Sport and Nak Fitness compression sleeve/socks from Amazon. The heel pain resolved pretty quickly. I wear them all the time except when I'm in the shower. I also put Prosport arch supports in my shoes/work boots.

My mom has had PF for 5 months now and the doctor told her that it just goes away over time. I had it for 2 weeks and it went away.

Not necessarily true. I've been dealing with it for years on one foot.

2 years ago I dealt with it for months in my right foot. I slept with the brace and it worked well. I finally begged the orthopedic for a shot. He would not give it due to the tendon possibly rupturing. My calf was extremely tight. It finally subsided but it is some brutal pain.

Go to a podiatrist and get the surgery. My wife suffered with it for 2 years. Has been pain free 6 months and is upset she did not get the surgery sooner.

I tried every stretching exercise, rolling a frozen bottle, etc. The only thing that worked was getting the boot and wearing it every night'
'

It worked but its gonna still take a while

Stretch including low back and hamstrings, get higher end running shoes for daily wear, frozen water bottle, night boot. When symptoms subside, continue with "rear chain" stretching and high end running shoes.

Mine will come back if I wear nike's for more than a few days in a row. Asics are my go to shoe.

Everyone is different with what works and what doesn't. For me the only thing that finally worked was switching to Kuru shoes. Good luck finding what works for you.
