Anyone here members of Lakepointe Church lead by Pastor Josh Howerton in Dallas, TX?

I follow him on social media and listen to some podcasts...I enjoy his passage breakdown and real life application.

Be interesting to hear why people don't like him...but probably won't change my opinion due to how f'd people are these days and how much they spin comments, etc.

This guy trashes everybody including Charlie Kirk and Billy Graham. He acts like he believes he’s Jesus Christ with how he’s perfect and everybody else isn’t. I’d take whatever this guy is saying with a large grain of salt.

I said that awkwardly. It’s the YouTuber who acts like he’s perfect and finds something wrong with absolutely everybody.

My B Sledge...I couldn't watch past point 6 on that video...dude was drumming for clicks and was extra cringy

Never heard of him before, but almost every pastor is a nutjob, and I assume he's no exception.

Atheism is the way to go.

Everybody is athestic toward Greek gods or Egyptian gods or Iroquois gods or whatever. Some of us just go one god further.

At least Christianity gave the world that ideal, even if it isn't followed by its "followers".

Billy Graham deserves to be trashed.

I'm pretty apathetic towards Charlie Kirk. Like I had barely heard of Charlie Kirk before he was killed, and I assume the same is true of most people. I think it's kind of strange how people started acting like Kirk was the most important person in US history as soon as he got killed.

I saw the YouTube short clips of him but didn’t know who he was for a while

I think getting rejected by West Point hurt his whole perception of college and came across bitter at times when mentioning DEI; I’m not for DEI but he seemed overly obsessed

Kirk really was not well known before his death. He was barely even discussed on tigerdroppings. If you do a google search to look for mentions of Charlie Kirk on tigerdroppings, I can't find a single mention of him before his death, after I looked through about the first 7 or 8 pages of results.

Edit: If you get to page 9 of the google results, there is one mention of Kirk before his death. It's a comment from Imjustafatkid on 7/30/2025 (about 40 days before Kirk died) saying that "Charlie Kirk does an incredible job defending conservative ideals and beliefs." That comment got 1 upvote and 12 downvotes. That's literally the only time I can find that Charlie Kirk was mentioned on Tigerdroppings before he died.
