Here. Trucks aren't practical for city living unless you're a contractor or douchebag.
But I really miss all my SO's henfriends asking me to haul shite.

Sold my chevy 4x4 2009 with low miles to get the car of my dreams. Only put 15,000 miles in 6 years. Purchased it pre-owned.

Does my truck scare you poor snowflake? Does it intimidate you when you see it in your rear view mirror. Live outside the city, but drive through the city to my job. I also own land, and need a truck to haul things like a trailer, tractor, boat, and other things.

Your man card... turn it in.

Was going to, but when the time came, I just kept the truck and forked over the cash for the down payment on the car.
(this was back when gas was high, and the old duramax is still going strong... 2 cars later)

When my company ditched our company cars and decided to give us allowances I faced the same situation. No way was I going to run around in my F150 that got 12 mpg but I have to have a truck. Got a Colorado with the diesel, great milage and still great capacity for towing, etc.

Yep. Huge mistake. The moment I can get my car to a lot I will have a truck.
Three regrets in life are not taking advantage of opportunities with girls named Catherine and Annie and trading in my truck. Of those three, the truck outweighs the other two by light years!

I sold my F250 for a Camry. It really wasn't practical driving such a big truck around everyday.
Only downsides that I've noticed is my dick shrunk 2 inches and I can't get brojobs at the diesel meetups anymore.

Couldn't do it. My wife has a grand cherokee and I feel like I'm in a peddle car every time we take her's somewhere.

I thought about getting a car and keeping the older Silverado just for towing/hauling. Opted to pass the old one down to my son and get a mid-size (Colorado).
I couldn't do without a truck.

I drive a truck because I have to for my business. I'd much rather drive my daughter's '14 Avalon. Nice car!
This whole macho, sit up high, be a man shite mystifies me.
I guess I'm not insecure.

Had a truck for 11 years and eventually sold it and got a sedan. I was driving often for work and had a kid on the way. It just wasn't practical for me anymore.
I loved my truck and there are times that I miss having one. But I also like the ability to fit into parking spots easily and blow by slower drivers on the interstate with just a tap on the accelerator. It's also a MUCH smoother ride.
I'll probably eventually get a truck again. But for my situation right now it's just not worth it.

A man who goes to work wearing a shirt that doesn't have his first name on it, for one.

Essentially. In 2015 I sold my full size truck for a minivan. Wife drives the van, I took the Accord.
I don't regret it one bit. I think I've only needed a truck three times since then.
ETA: The van is so much more practical with three small kids. And the gas mileage is so much better in the Accord (50 miles per day). It has 200k miles and still runs great.
