Anyone here decide to cut alcohol from your life for health reasons?

Seems like the cons outweigh the pros in the grand scheme of things. Especially as you get older. Anyone cut the chord? Did you notice health improvement?

Stopped drinking years ago. Found that maintaining my weight was much easier.

I am drinking right now, so no.

I quit cold turkey for health reasons. Well, not just cold turkey but all kinds of processed sandwich meat. I haven't tried quitting alcohol though. I really like it.

I've never been an alcoholic, so my light intake doesn't negatively affect my health in any meaningful way.

everyone should stop drinking and just smoke a little weed to unwind and relax. its healthier for you and much safer

No. If I'm in a setting where people are drinking I'm not about to be sipping on water. I did quit drinking at night on week days to get my weight under control though.

Cut back a lot. Mainly only drink on weekends now.
Dropped a ton of weight and felt better.

I haven't drank since high school. Never developed the taste or tolerance. Just drank to get drunk and I wasn't a good one. It makes it tough to socialize and people treat you strangely. I wouldn't recommend it..

i tried a couple months ago. It went well for a while until my dog got killed by coyotes. now i just stay up drinking with a qbeam and a rifle lol.
seriously though, i cut out about 50% of my drinking. I went from having 4 or 5 beers every evening to now 0 to 1 during the week and cut loose on the weekends. i gained weight because i have bad sugar cravings that i need to get handled

I drink less these days because the hangovers are a bitch once you hit 30.

I rarely drink, maybe 2-3 drinks per month. If that takes me out then I was on borrowed time to begin with.
Moderation is the key. I understand for some completely stopping is the only solution for myriad of reasons, but for the masses, 1-2 drinks week isn't going to affect your longevity or quality of life.

Negative, Ghostrider. The beer fridge is full.
As is the liquor cabinet.
The wine fridge is only half full though.

i drink maybe twice a year. i run 5 days a week and have kids. alcohol makes doing both of those much harder. just not worth it.
