Anyone here believe or know someone that thinks that "Halloween is the Devil's birthday"?

Every few years or so I seem to run in to someone that makes this statement.

It's not his actual birthday just an estimation, like Jesus with Christmas. The important thing is that we celebrate Satan in our hearts.

My Sunday school teacher says it's true. That's why we have trunk or treat in the parking lot of the church the week before Halloween. You shouldn't be walking around the streets on the devil's birthday. Too dangerous.

What? That's ridiculous. Lucifer was created out of nothing, he wasn't born. If anything Halloween is the Devil's creationday.

You atheists are something else. It's why you'll all be in hell.

I mentioned it on here a few times, but when I was a kid/teenager, there was a kid in my neighborhood whose parents were members of a small non-denom church and I don't know if they believed it was the Devil's birthday, but one Halloween they put a sign in their yard "Halloween is Satan's Day".. People egged the sign and the house..

One year, the city put on a haunted house and his dad went to it right before it was about open and backed his truck up to the door so people couldn't get in. He got arrested.

The mascot at the HS I went to was and still is the Green Devil, there is always some type of local religious leader who makes an issue over a Devil being a mascot.. I don't understand how adults can be so literal.

I'm not sure about the Devil's birthday but Halloween is a Pagan holiday (Holy Day) that I refuse to celebrate.

I'm sure a sizable portion the people in my hometown of Bumfrick still think that. My best friend growing up was not allowed to Trick or Treat due to this superstition his mother (and no one else in his family) had.

It's true. My church always has a prayer night on the Devils birthday (10/31) to pray for protection and so the kids can't go trick or treating

Lucifer is a fallen angel, he's not human he has no birthday . Only humans are born therefore only humans can have birthdays.

Holloween is hollow's eve, is the eve of all staints day which is a festival to remember all fallen saints, dead people in general.

Holloween is literally the american version of El Día de Muertos (Day of the dead)
