Been thinking of making one of them my next car want to know if they're worth the extra cash. Not having to pay for gas would be really nice

So if you max out one of their most expensive cars, it's expensive? I mean obviously

That’s a starter car. Get yourself a finisher car.

And if you fork over another 20k you can get the full range of the car

Yes, easily. Go test drive one, that's all it really takes. I'm sure there's a poster or 2 to dispute the claim but legit every person I've ever talked to in person or even seen post something on a message board/Reddit/wherever has given it rave reviews after driving. They may not have all gone out and bought one, but I don't recall ever seeing someone say they drove one or rode in one and it was just ok, or you could get some other car in the same class that is clearly better.

I bought one without ever driving one but did ride in one. I wasn't a Tesla "fanboy" or whatever, it just seemed like a cool car so I bought one. About 30 seconds of driving was all it took to understand all the rage.

I've been lucky to never have any issues but the biggest con of a Tesla is service, there are a bunch of horror stories out there. But the car itself is top notch.

I have a friend at BASF. They get a discount on Tesla's so she bought a new Model S for $65K. She loves it and has had no trouble.

My best friend's wife has a Tesla, and she's said when she got it, all her female co-workers started treating her differently, basically thinking she was rich and snobby or whatever. Meanwhile, they all drive Wranglers and SUVs having no idea that her car was probably cheaper than most of theirs.
