..for an extended time?
I have a gas tank valve that has a port that is plugged and it’s impossible to see. What’s the best solution to clear it?
Soak it in fresh gas overnight?

You do know you had months to make sure that it was ready for today right?

Haha yes. You could try putting some stabil in there. Might help. I had to drain the oil and clean the carburetor today. I added stabil to some fresh gas and it start d. I hadn’t run it in like 5 years before that.

Maybe half an hour. Had a float stuck. Sprayed some brake cleaner, good to go.

Mine had a on off switch that easily comes off. Clips in. Moved twice since I used it. It came off in one of the moves. Went to Home Depot and wired a switch. Took me about 10 minutes. Fired up. Ready to go w window unit for 1 room for sleep and the fridge.

Rolled mine out of the shed on Tuesday and the damn thing started on the first pull. I couldn't believe it.

I went through a can of B-12 earlier today.
The valve is the only issue.

I had to work on mine also. Hasn’t been used since Gustav, has a spark plug issue but I think I got it working now.

Bastard valve is soaking right now.
I hope it’s not needed because I doubt I can unclog the hidden port before tomorrow.

Same here. I was shocked. Hadn't cranked it in probably 8 years, started right up. Briggs and Stratton, baby. Still hasn't been improved upon.

Want to come over and put the parts back on mine?
I got the whole house one, but would like to loan the spare out

My problem was self made. Accidently flooded the engine early on without realizing it then spent a lot of time troubleshooting spark. I realized what I did and just sprayed a smidge of wd40 on the intake and it cranked right up, spewing white smoke
My first time using a generator and I'm an IT nerd that knows next to nothing about combustible engines so.. that sucked
