Not my thing at all. I'm sure a lot of blacks like that stuff. However, that is a relatively small part of the population. Lacks mass appeal and that is what the halftime show should be geared to.
Saw an article about the halftime show and the person writing it talked about how great it was and how the crowd was singing along. I'm going to call complete bullshite because 95% of the SB crowd never heard any of this stuff and damn sure don't have him on their play list.
Trying to say that was in any way... any way at all... was some kind of mainstream music is complete horseshite.

Still Fly might be the greatest rap song ever recorded. Mannie Fresh is without a doubt tGOAT producer and beat master.

The funny thing is that the message was pointless. Preaching to the choir, ignored by the target. Of course most people just couldn’t understand the mumbling.
People at our party drank and ate at halftime. I got a bunch of wtf is this texts from friends.
This wasn’t a milestone halftime. But good for black people that needed a pick me up after seeing all the black athletes admit they support Trump.

I completely agree and I don’t think Lamar is any more talented than any other generic hip hop artist that mumbles barely discernible lyrics over a drum loop.

You're a clown

Outkast would've been a perfect rap show for the Superbowl

Why would you just not walk away.

A very nice, black lady with a masters degree who I have worked with for years and she has never mentioned politics proclaimed it the best halftime show ever.
I was a tad surprised.

That was my first exposure to Kendrick. However, my thirteen-year-old son was dancing and rapping every word. It was fun to watch.

I thought this would be a difference between old and young people. Slightly surprised it’s a black and white thing.

He probably has fans all over the world. Those fans probably don't speak english as a first language.
I'm starting to think the "not like us" is referring to being uneducated and inarticulate. Mr. Lamar is correct in that regard.

Evidently, I am unable to appreciate the and I quote "lyrical genius" and "inside message" of the great orator of the 21st century, Kendrick Lamar.

To be fair, you can hear the crowd screaming the lyrics if you watch it on youtube?

Anyone who pretends rap music is entirely supported and listened to by only black people is functionally retarded.
