That was really very good! I think when we used to be part of a "Tribe", with common ancestors and a sense of real cohesion, to include who, or what "God" is, it provided a sense of purpose and belonging, that was comforting.

There is something so worthwhile, being part of a team, working towards the same goal. Helps us not feel so alone

f you think about it, bees are communist.
Communism is the greatest government on paper, but its proven it does not work with humans.
Now that I think more about it, bees aren’t communist. They are an absolute monarchy. They have a Queen who is supplied with whatever she needs and constantly fertilized (do they have a king?)
And the workers just…work. Are they happy? Is fulfilled purpose happiness?

“Being” an individual bee is analogous to “being” a joystick or controller. To the extent that bees exhibit intelligence it’s in a collective sense, a literal hive mind, rather than as individual entities with distinct desires.
There’s some limited translation to humans in a homogeneous society, but obviously we are more complicated.

Do you remember Maya the Bee on Nickelodeon?

Not all bees are part of a productive communist society. Some killer bees live the desperate life of illegal immigrant banditos from south of the border. They just want our pollen.

Bees make honey. That makes them OK in my book.
What's strange, is that you can find bee honey in any grocery store, but there is never wasp or hornet honey on the shelves.
I know where there are a few bald faced hornet nests in the woods near my house. I'm going to go there with my smoke pot and steal their honey once the weather warms up.

I’ve never seen a bee execute another bee because they dared question the party.

Not so fun bee fact:
When a male honey bee cums, his balls explode.

Also, really cool video
Bees kill hornet
They surround the hornet and beat their wings furiously, raising their body temperature. With all of them together around the hornet it “cooks” it.

Another fine ditty... I rank this one up there with your post-election masterpiece: The Devil Went Down to Georgia (looking for some votes to steal).
A few thoughts:
Honey is a very interesting food... when stored properly, it doesn't spoil. I've heard that honey has been found (maybe from ancient Egypt?) which is still edible thousands of years later. In this regard, bees create a food which has an immortal quality to it. And some say honey is as good or better on wounds and burns as the best man-made first aid products. High quality honey is great stuff to stock up on as a when it hits the fan... but that's for another thread.
As to what men as bees would be like, I imagine it would be something like monks in a Shaolin temple.
For starters, to be in such a communal setting seems a prerequisite since to be a proper bee is to be a part of a hive. Scouts might venture out, but for the good of the hive. I don't think it's possible to have true lone wolf honey bees.
As to day to day life, monks and bees both go about their days fulfilling their duties and chores in a disciplined way (to the extent monks buy in). And martial arts/yogic training time-- if not considered just another chore-- might perhaps be considered training in 'beeing' since the mindful quality of such training should spill over into everything one does.
Lastly, having watched a number of kung fu movies, it's easy to imagine monks, like bees, suicidally swarming certain unwelcome guests.
As to if this type of life is a relinquishment of freedom... philosophically the answer is no. But the distinction of freedom and license has to be understood. Most people confuse these two concepts. There is a time and a season for all things in life, including eating, drinking, being merry and engaging in sexual activity. But when license to indulge in such things is out of balance with fulfillment of responsibilities to self, family and community, such overindulgence corrupts self, family and community; and the person who overindulges is a slave to vice-- despite their boastful protestations that they are free! A better understanding of freedom then comes from understanding how our higher faculties (which separates man from other animals), allow us to overcome base desires and become virtuous and free... to become truly human; or, in a similar context, shows the arc of redemption of man (from Adam to Christ).
