There’s a guy who lives about two miles up the road from me that mows his yard every other day. He does it on a John Deere riding mower while wearing jeans, boots, a full button up long sleeve shirt and cowboy hat regardless of how hot it is. Very strange to me

I had a neighbor who just moved away who installed a sprinkler system, and he mowed 4 times a week virtually every week. He was divorced and took it out on his lawn.

I live in North Texas so cutting my yard twice a week would be real dumb
I’m probably one of the more frequent mowers in my neighborhood and I cut every other week.

I remember when I first bought my house I asked my dad (who lives in south Louisiana) how often he had to water his grass to keep it from browning out in the summer. He seemed confused, said he’s never had to water his grass in his life

I cut Friday or Saturday, and usually Monday or Tuesday in peak summer.

Cut my front yard which is zoysia every 4 days cause I like to bag it with a push mower. My grass guys won’t bag it so I make sure the grass isn’t high in the front when they get there.

It gets watered every day also.

When I was a kid, old man across the street cut his twice a week.I think he did it to piss off the old lady next door. The motor on his lawnmower “surged” repeatedly. The old lady liked to sit out in her yard in the afternoon under a shade tree. He’d crank up his lawnmower and the repeated surging would drive her to distraction. They had many a cuss-fight about it.

Says the guy monitoring his neighbor’s lawn cutting schedule.

Based on how insecure you come across in your post, I’m guessing your lawn isn’t the only thing an inch shorter than theirs.

My brother mows his grass twice a week and if he retired, he would probably mow it every day.

Guy across the street does it every few days, I’ll give it to him he had his main sewer line replaced 5 years ago and he had a 3ft mound of dirt/ clay from that job across his front yard, baw worked it every day forever to get it level again... looks great now.

Directly across the lake I have a she blower. And not in a good way. That damn thing bounces off the lake right into my back porch. I suggested she get an electric to make it easier but she said it ain't got the umpf. The absolute worst part is that she does it in the evening. I can't even bow hunt in front of my house, have to go to the other side of the hunting club.

Mine could be cut every three/four days. I swear I can see it grow. Back yard grows faster than the front yard, thank god. It rained a few days in a row last week and I thought I was gonna die. Push mower that used to be self propelled, is now pull propelled. It's on its last wheel.

Yard guy comes when he thinks it needs it. Jr is twelve, he's getting a pusher next year. He's gonna keep that back yard like a golf course.
