Hell no. I'm pushing it to do it every 10 days or so and it's the same for my neighbors on both sides.
All the old people who live by us only have theirs cut once a week.

Be glad you have twice a week neighbors. There are a couple of houses in my neighborhood that probably only cut twice a month.
This.
Me and my neighbor cut every Saturday around the same time. The people across the street hasn’t cut there’s since June. I’m disgusted when I look across the street.

I will not try to keep up with them. They need to get a freaking life. I usually wait until a couple of days after they cut, then I cut mine, just be an inch shorter than theirs.
Hell, I've got a neighbor that has two different yard men. One cuts the grass on Wednesday, and the other cuts it on Saturday.

So he's got two brothers-in-law?

Either that or the wife could be getting double dipped.

Honestly I would if I could during the summer.

Mine cuts his twice a week and sometimes three. I don't think he cares much for his wife though, so that's how he avoids her.

Just like smoking meat...
you don't tell the grass when it is time to be mowed, the grass tells you.

I mow twice a week. Multiple reasons but I kind of enjoy the exercise of mowing and payoff. The neighbor hates me but they are trash anyway

This. Bermuda lawn in the South from June-August with enough water will not go more than 4-5 days without becoming un-manageable. I know, I have one and it looks like yours.
I'm wondering if maybe these LA guys have something that grows slower and gets cut lower?
Does Centipede and St. Augustine require less mowing in the dead of summer?

Its mostly once a week for me. Depends on weather here in KY. Been very dry this year, Ive gone stretches of over 2 weeks this year without mowing because nothing grew. Last year it never stopped raining, had to fricking cut damp grass because the day after it finally cleared up another storm would be rolling in the next day for a 3 or 4 day stretch.
Weather changes so much here, I just look at the forecast and plan my mowing accordingly.

This dude at the end of my street mows his yard with a robotic mower at least once maybe twice a week. He is like 80. He makes himself a batch of coffee and walks out and sits down in a foldout lawn chair (the OG type) in his pajamas. He then proceeds to watch his lawn be mowed while sipping coffee.
50 years ago this guy would have never been able to imagine this wonderful machine. I envy his lifestyle.
