My feet are flat-flat and I never really understood why that was such a big deal. In my mid-60’s and now I get it. Ankles…

Stated the same in a prior post. When I was a kid, me and some of my male cousins would go to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and run around in the sand by the water line. Their footprints showed a heel, a narrow strip where the arch is and then the balls of the foot and toes.

Mine were almost perfectly rectangle impressions in the wet sand. As long as the conditions were good for leaving a footprint, mine were easy to pick out.

Welp, didn't think I could have felt worse about my feet, but I was wrong. Stupid ladies ruined the thread.

Still, hail to the high achers!

For most people, these are a goof; for you they’d be an improvement:

Arches just like yours. Bouts with plantar fascitis, starting to think I may have some neuroma. Had to have surgery on a bone spur on my right heel last Spring. Makes it tough getting older!

When I was running a lot, like marathon/ironman training level, my feet were disgusting. Just a lot of callus build up. Broke down and would get a pedicure every once in a while. Would suggest if your feet get all rough and nasty.

Id puke everytime I looked down if I had op's feet. Mine are good, even after running weekly. How old were you before running affected your knees or ankles? Or have they yet? Im 35 and my right kneee has recently started going weak/ hurting briefly (maybe 15 seconds max) randomly every few days. I am healthy and no injuries, so I assumed it was from running. (No more than 25mi a week, and mostly weeks are less than 1mi). Been wanting to ask another runner bc otherwise my joints never hurt

I had lapiplasty to fix fairly massive deformities scheduled for both feet but the downtime is so long I just don't have time. We have too many kids involved in too much shite. Gotta wait until at least one of them can drive. My big toe on my right foot is beginning to pivot over my second toe and that is very bad. I'm concerned about it and not sure if I can hold on for the next two years but it's about all I can do.
