Not in Birmingham. Tons of people walking with family/dogs. Not many cars on the streets.

I haven’t stayed at home at all. the government. This is America. I can do what I want.

I’m also not an idiot licking doorknobs and coughing on produce at the store.

I went to the post office and was going to wait until I could go in alone. There was a steady stream of people. After 20 minutes I bit the bullet.

I live near campus & work near Seigen/Industriplex.
My route is Burbank to Seigen.
There is lots more traffic now than 2 weeks ago. Not really any traffic jams but the traffic is more steady.
I figure people are tired of being home & going back to work.
Or taking a drive to chill before they go ape shite...

Stay in your house if you don't like it. The rest of us have to get back to taking care of our families financially.

Sorry you can't work from home, but do you think the numbers would be different if there was no quarantining?

My main concern is being a carrier and then passing it on to someone else (older people. My mom, etc, etc).

I just don't get why its so hard to ask people to stay away from big crowds, stay a certain distance from others, etc.

So I got what you said there. So if you are not a redneck, how would you label yourself?

There was a major difference this past weekend vs the one prior. Much more traffic and people just outside in general. Weather was almost identical both weekends.

its not. You act like everyone is gonna crowd into Tiger Stadium or rush into a restaurant and sit in each other's lap. They aren't.

I'm advocating for opening places up and letting the business owners decide how to mitigate crowds. No business is going to want to get labeled as a place to catch the corona. So I'm fairly certain they'll do what's necessary to avoid it.

but relying on government bureaucrats, the media, and FB housewives, and you to determine when we can get back to work is a bigger death sentence than Covid.

98% will survive the virus. 2% are gonna die from the Kung flu. 99.99% are gonna suffer from a poor economy. Time to get back to work.

Took me over 30 mins to get from Sorrento to Prairieville yesterday. Lowe's parking lot was fricking stacked. Old people everywhere.

That, Chik Fil A, and the daiquiri shop has long lines beginning last week.

Yeah, but it was longer today. It was blocking one lane of veterans with about 7 cars on it. The daiquiri shop ALWAYS has a car at their window!

This attitude towards covid-19 guidelines is exactly why Louisiana has such a high death rate from this. Either you don't care about others (or yourself) or you are just ignorant of any of this, which is unlikely. So sad to see these kinds of post.
