I see these moms on tv with shop carts full for nearly free. One even gets a bunch of money back on gift cards.

But I have a real job and a real life...

If I was married I would make my wife do this. If she wasn't employed

My wife did it for a couple months then realized the hassle isn't worth it. but, I have probably a lifetime supply of deodorant now though.

I hardly ever see fresh fruits, vegetables, or meat in their carts.

One of my exes did it once. She came home with seven bags of store brand cereal and one gallon of milk, because she had a coupon for "buy 7 bags of shitty cereal, get one gallon of milk free".

She doesn't eat cereal

Credit card churning is a much more profitable endeavor with much less work.

I have a friend (no pics) that does this (not to the extent of the TV show) and buys shite she has no intention of being able to use.

FWIW, she is 25, single and owns cats.

Once, my ex-wife came back with like 20 packs of John Wayne toilet paper. Do you have any idea how much space 20 packs of John Wayne toilet paper takes up and how difficult it is to transport them to a dumpster?

One time she came home with like 30 tubes of toothpaste. I gave them as gag gifts that Christmas.

Saw a couple of families working as a team at Kroger a while back, they had filled up a trailer and a couple of trucks full of stuff and the cashier I went to said they had been checking out for a couple of hours. Supposedly only spent $100 on what looked like a few thousand worth of goods

There should be separate check out lines for these menaces to society.

My wife (no pics) did it a couple of her summers off from teaching. It takes a lot of time and organization to the point where it's not really worth it. Like most have said, we had a spare closet with shelves full of shite like deodorant, laundry detergent, toothpaste and brushes, tampons, and maxi pads and shite, etc.

You end up buying shite you don't need to get a ton more of shite you don't need and in the process buy other shite at the store while you are there. We ended up giving most of it away to the flood victims in BR and the Harvey victims in Houston.

I do know a guy who's wife used to do it, then sell extra shite at her monthly garage sale, which is probably the smartest thing one could do if you feel like making a few bucks.

I will say, I wish she still did it for the surplus of TP. Waaaaaay nicer to run out and know you have 28 more packs in the closet.

It’s a form of sickness in which you do all this kind of work to feel like you are getting a great deal.

Doing it to a limited degree where you are getting a tangible benefit is one thing but buying tons of stuff you will never use because it is cheap is insane.

If you do that, at least try to find stuff with some resale value. I was able to run a minor racket of turning cheap stuff *legally* into store credit at one retailer and then using their loadable cards to buy stuff I wanted from elsewhere.

When you can turn store credit into cards for Amazon, iTunes, Playstation Store, Nintendo eShop, etc, it is almost as good as cash.

This is what I've always thought. It takes a special kind of inconsiderate to tie up a register and in most cases the store manager for an hour or more just so you can add to your useless stockpile and feel accomplished.
