My sister lived near the Kenner airline crash years ago & had a long term fear of flying. But, at some point in time she & her husband had an opportunity to fly to Paris for a medical convention. She got hypnotized & that got her there & back. Now, that was for a long flite, not sure if that would be practical for a short flite you are facing.

I’ve developed a fear of flying. I’ve flown dozens of times, never overseas, but still some flights that are several hours. Mine ebbs and flows. I flew on vacations as a kid, but I distinctly remember being scared shitless about 5 years later on a long flight. I convinced myself the plane was going down. I think it was TWA flight 800 that scared the piss out of me, and I was about 10 years old when that went down.

I was good for a while, then scared again after some major turbulence going into SLC. Any bump and I get spooked.

Turbulence is just like a bump in the road in the car.

Weed

Im a big believer in weed just enhancing whatever emotion youre currently feeling at the time

Happy? Youll be happier.
Hungry? Youll be hungrier etc

Same goes with anxiety. If youre feeling anxious theres a good chance youll just feel more anxious so I dont really recommend it to the uninitiated.

Lloyd Christmas says statistically youre more likely to die in the car on the way to the airport so if you make it to the airplane just tell yourself the hard parts over?

Birmingham to Philadelphia

If flying freaks you out too much, you can take the Amtrak train #20 directly from BHAM to PHL.

It will take about 18 hours but hey it's better than flying

Zanax made me a frequent flyer.

Love that stuff when flying.

THC Gummy?

I do not recommend this. THC can cause significant anxiety, especially gummies. And gummies last for a really long time. It ain't like smoking a joint where you know it'll wear off in an hour or so.

The other thread (plane crash) suggested just checking if it had a cockpit (male pilots) or a cunnthole (female pilots) to see if you should just get off the plane.

A 2004 Bombardier Learjet 60 can get you there faster.

Y'all have doctors that just hand out Xanax because you say you have a flight? I can't get mine to even give me antibiotics unless on my deathbed.

Xanax or the airport bar.

One or the other. Don't do both or you won't make your flight.

I've never been a fan of flying. Normally I'd liquor up a little before getting on the plane.

One time I had to take a long flight that I was really dreading. My crazy aunt has a collection of Valium and other benzos that she willingly hands out like TicTacs. So, I gave her a call and asked if I could have one.

She gave me a few Valium, but warned me "Only take half of one since you're not used to them."

I'm sitting in the airport, waiting for my flight to be called, and I pull out the little baggie of drugs. These pills are tiny. My aunt weighed 90lbs at the time, so I think "Sure these things hit her hard. She's all skin and bones. I'm a 200lb male, I'm sure a whole pill will be fine"

I take the pill.

Wait a while.

My flight is called.

I stand up, and the pill hits me.

I feel the world shift off it's axis

**Oh no. I made a big mistake**

I'm in the boarding ramp.

I trip.

I can't get back up.

Crawl to plane.

Some stewardesses help me back up

"Sir. Are you ok?"

I mumble something that hopefully sounds something like "I'm fine"

Stewardess gets me to my seat.

I sit down and black out

Some time later I'm woken up by a stewardess asking me "Sir, are you done with that?"

I look down, and there's a half eaten plate of food in front of me. Apparently I ate at some point and don't remember it.

Most relaxing flight ever.

This all happened pre 9/11 when you could get away with that without being tased by an air marshall.
