I've heard once you're on it, you essentially can never get off of it.

Not true. I stopped taking it and told my doctor after the fact. The side effect of constant trips to the bathroom was too much.

I weighed in at the doctor's office fully clothed and it a was 71kg/160lb!

Look... OTers do truly want to help here, but it starts with honesty. Not only with us, but more importantly, yourself.

That said, are we talking 3 bills, or more like 600lb life candidate territory?

If you don’t have Type 2 diabetes then why are you going on Metformin? You aren’t making much sense

Michael Turner LSU corner back is 6-1 162he ain’t need no metformin. He needs rice in the gumbo.

No I don't have diabetes. I only weigh 160. But he point at my gut and said I need to be on it.

If you are 160 lbs and they are wanting to put you on a diabetic drug to lose weight, you need to find another primary doctor. ASAP. Your doctor listens more to drug reps than common sense.

You can inherit a predisposition for Type 2 diabetes but it’s usually later in life or when you are overweight. It’s possible he is a type 2 and not be overweight but unlikely

If you’re 5’8” and weigh 160 but have a gut, it sounds like a fatty liver.

Yes, I'm pre-diabetic. I was on it for two weeks. During that time, it gave me the shits from Hell. My doctor prescribed another drug, solving the problem.
