Anybody here work in LNG? Is this sustainable or is there a bubble forming? Job related.

I got called by a recruiter today from Venture Global.
We had a good conversation but some of these benefits they explained seemed kind of insane. 100% company paid health, phone allowance, travel allowance, etc. Decent 401K. Variable bonus based on performance.
Then here is the kicker...they asked what it would take to get me and I threw out some wild crazy number.
These people didn't even blink and said "Yes, we can do that." We're talking $100K more than I make now, which is pretty good money. They set me up for an interview with their Sr. VP.
1. This smells like a bubble or too good to be true.
2. I've heard they been dropping bags for people to work in Cameron because it's inconvenient to get to.
3. I have never worked in LNG, mostly chemical plants. What am I missing?
I've never considered leaving my current job because I love it. This just sounds wild though.

Venture global is pissing off all the majors because they have some pretty big contracts with prices which are favorable to their customers, but if you can get in there, I would suggest it. I have worked in LNG for 20 years and it is only going to get bigger.

He is asking:
Truck nuts [on] or [off]

Cameron or Cameroon, I'd take $100K more than what I'm making for that.

They have a shite ton of job openings right now.

They have already invested $40 billion or so into this state with more to come.

Take the money and figure it out. Once someone will pay it to you, others will too

The recruiter rambled on about approval for 835 more jobs being approved.
They have 1500-1600 employees if I remember right.

Is it onsite every day?
I wouldn’t move to LC and drive down there ever day for $100k extra. Maybe if I already lived over there.

1. I think if AI takes off as expected and all these giant data centers get built the need for natural gas will only continue to climb. I’ve been investing thinking that will occur.
2. I live in the New Orleans area and on Halloween was talking with a lady whose family had just moved to the area. I’m not sure of the exact details, but she was saying how her husband was some type of pm for VG and moved their family here so he could support the project in Plaquemines parish. They all drive nice cars, kids go to an expensive private school, and house is pretty nice so I I’d say business is good.

They have to pay well to get people that are willing to drive down there every day. I was offered a mechanic position but turned it down only because I had no interest in spending 3 hours a day in my car commuting from Slidell to belle chasse.

That’s how you talk about the woman who helped change your diapers your senior year in high school? Rude.
