I got a pair on a fathers day sale. Ostrich with matching belt. I like them. I don't wear boots all the time so they're comfortable.

I have a pair of the Scotch goat ropers. Almost zero break in period, very comfortable, good looking boots. Thinking about another pair!

I feel like this is a pretty good selling point, too.

Good boots but their marketing has been crazy. I’d rather have a pair of Tony Lama for a little less or Lucchese for a little more. Not a knock on Tecovas but they cater to “urban” cowboy more than the actual cowboy

I was actually interested in the dark bison slip ons, too, so that’s good to know. Thanks!

I have 5 pairs.

Nolan’s, Jason’s, Cartwrights, and Wyatt’s.

Lizard, Bovine, Calfskin, Ostritch in that order. All in the cowboy boot cut.

Then I have a pair of bovine Monterey’s which are a loafer

They’re all great and like others have said are basically ready to go right out of the box. But I got them all 2+ years ago before they massively hiked prices. All of those boots are all at least $100 more expensive than when I bought them. They also barely make a calfskin boot anymore. They seem to have switched entirely to bovine (which they’ve renamed to cowhide). So they’re using the inferior leather and still charging more. They used to only use bovine on their more rugged styles and calfskin on their dressier styles.

I love them and they used to be a great deal IMO but have gotten above their raising now. I doubt I’ll get another pair.

they suck. I said I would never buy another pair after my first came apart. But i was gifted a pair. I went and exchanged them for a pair I wanted. Not happy with them. they look cheap next to my Luchesses

I have a few pairs. Be careful where you wear them early on...the bottoms are super slick and Ive eaten shite a couple times because of it. Overall they are great boots once you break em in.

Tecovas ownership is a borderline cousin to CrossFit®, Atheist, Libertarian, Vegan-ish disciplines.

Twisted X is the way to go. My son gets about 2 1/2 years out of his work boots non stop construction 12 to 14 hr days. He loves them and all he buys.

They are a good boot. I have three pair, all have held up nice. Don’t let the hard asses around here convince you they’re not. They are not as good as Lucchese but they’re still a good boot.
