My son and I are going next month, but have never been there before. The roller coasters look wicked, and we can't wait to get there. We are going on a Monday, so how are the crowds? Should we get a fast pass? Any info would be appreciated. TIA.

I've been once and got a two day pass.

IMO it took two days to ride everything. It was a summer weekend and so it was packed. It was a while ago but I remember the Top Speed Dragster line was like an hour and a half for a 12 second ride, but you aren't going to go to Cedar Point and not ride that one so you either get the fast pass or put up with it.

Loved that park, can't wait to go back one day. Hope you and your boy have fun

I've always wanted to go there. Gonna make a trip to see the Indians and Reds soon, then hit up CP.

I would definitely get the fast pass. If you don't, the wait for the dragster is still worth it.

Twice. Coasters are incredible. Lines are VERY long on a summer weekend. People watching is off the charts. HIGH level of whiskey tango.

My plan is to get there when it opens, and go straight to Dragster. I'm leaning heavily towards the fast pass. Thanks for the input!

Been there, just be careful with you son in Sandusky Ohio.

During the week it shouldn't be too crowded. I made a day trip out of it while visiting family in Pittsburgh. I am not a coaster fan but I had a lot of fun.

IMO no park in the world has an array of roller coasters to match Cedar Point. Have a great time. It will be crowded and it's worth paying for at least the first level of the express passes and probably worth paying for the second as well.

Used to go when I lived in ky and it was drivable.

Was just trying to talk BB into going back with me next summer.

I always had a ton of fun.

Born and raised there. Great place! Went several times a summer. They are constantly competing for worldwide recognition of the biggest and badest roller coasters from height to speed to other charateristics.

We went a few years ago. I think it was a Saturday in July (Assume that's peak season). I remember it being crowded, but not that bad. The Dragster is definitely the best (or was when we were there). Waited in line twice for it, so it's definitely worth it. If I went today, I'd probably just pay the money for the fast pass.

There's a bunch of water parks in the area as well. Put-In-Bay is close by too which is a cool island (although more geared for adults and drinking).

Cedar Point is pretty damn awesome.

Yes. Been to Cedar Point and Kings Island, outside if Cincinnati. We actually go to Kings Island more often but I love Cedar Point. Both are great. They make Kennywood look like the "amusement park" area at Myrtle Beach.
Almost forgot, EAT shite PITT!
