Fuq At&T they should be held criminally liable for any deaths, damage and greif they caused people during this.
Im am certain lives were lost and damage could've been prevented had it not been for them.

frick AT&T. I woke up to water coming up my driveway Sunday morning at 5am and couldn't check online anywhere to see if something had happened like a levee failure or something. Scared the shite out of me.

How are they? Did their home end up flooding?

as for the OP ;

I've noticed a bunch of people on Facebook started a hashtag #makeitrightATT. They are demanding ATT do the same. Am I cynical for thinking they are a bunch of entitled leaches?

I don't see the problem with people wanting Att to do something as some sort of apology. I'm no Bernie boy either. One thing is certain, if they don't do something they are going to lose a ton of business in the BR market.

I just dumped AT&T today and went to Verizon
After not being able to use our phones this weekend and still sporatic, I broke my new S7 and they wouldn't replace it and I have insurance. Told me I had to make a claim and a new one would be shipped to me, exactly opposite of what I was told when I bought the damn phone.

I don't expect AT&T to do anything. They have raped people in their contracts and lied too much. I'll be cancelling this weekend.

I can maybe reach my parents 25% of the times I try to call now. I basically have to attempt to call usually 8-10 times in a row and then I might catch them.

I have Verizon and I can't call my parents or anyone with ATT. I have to text them to call me.

Apparently Verizon is making all Louisiana customers data free for the time of the flood. Very noble of them. I've noticed a bunch of people on Facebook started a hashtag #makeitrightATT. They are demanding ATT do the same. Am I cynical for thinking they are a bunch of entitled leaches?

No, you are not being cynical. It bad enough to ask for something free but they seem to think it would be immoral of AT&T not to give it to them.

As an AT&T stockholder, I think we should all sit down and rethink this whole "mass exodus" from ATT. Maybe chill out and have some coffee, I'm sure they mean well.

Atleast until I can update my etrade account.

I can't wait until all these people abandon AT&T and go to Verizon! My AT&T service will then be fantastic. FWIW, I've never had any problems with AT&T anyway. I guess I'm a minority.

frick ATT. We're switching to Verizon.

Yes, Verizon giving people free data is cool, but it is 100% the fact we had no idea what was going on with my parents for most of this event. They were unable to contact anyone, and had they not been evac'd by great neighbors, they could have been completely screwed without the ability to contact anyone.

Dumb question. I live in Naples, FL now, but my boyfriend can't call my 225 number for days. Gets a busy signal, with all circuits down message. Does my area code matter, when I am using FL towers?

Does it really cost them anything when you use more data then your plan calls for?
