I’m too fat to outrun them.

My buddy tried to outrun them while on a bike downtown New Orleans and immediately bit arse and got a ticket. They didn’t charge him with anything extra for trying to run

I was 14 riding my motorcycle to school when a cop rolled on me for speeding. I cut through yards and beat him to my school by 30 seconds. I parked by a friends motorcyle that was the same model as mine and stepped over about 15 feet away and stood there with a group of friends. Cop asked if they saw who just pulled up on a cycle and everyone told him no.

Yep. Out ran them before in my early 20s. We lived in Arnaudville along the Bayou not far from the police station. This was before the stop light.

I was across the Bayou heading home speeding. When he lit me up I mashed on the gas knowing he had to turn around and buy me a minute. I parked in the yard and turned the lights out. I watched him across the Bayou from my house in hot pursuit. Only time I ever tried it.

Yep, skipping school with 4-5 friends and walking the neighborhood when a cop car turned onto the street. We bolted hopping fences and running through random yards until we all piled into an open shed door attached to a carport. We locked the door and within 20 seconds the cop was trying the handle. We barely stifled the laughs long enough for him to give up and leave.

When I was 16 two cops were posted up outside my neighborhood. I flew by doing 15 over. I yanked it into a residential street immediately while one of them started pulling out into the street and gunned it. I turned quickly down a couple of roads. Then sat there thinking to myself that was really freaking stupid. He either never saw me or was just pulling out anyway and was never after me.

Was on a Yamaha Banshee heading to a friend’s house in high school. We used to always ride four wheelers to our friends house before we had trucks. Cop didn’t stand a chance. Floored it going through a subdivision and hurry up and parked in my buddies garage and closed it. Cop came flying buy and never checked up.

In my hometown there was this annoying bridge that was about a mile long and 30 mph. It was really hard to keep it under 30 coming down even if you let off the gas and this douchebag motorcycle cop would camp there and get people all day.

I had never been caught and he pulled a U to get me and I turned off into a neighborhood and he came screaming in behind me and almost laid down his bike.

I took another turn and went into a friend’s alley driveway. Went and sat on the porch and watched him drive around for a bit.

I’m not an eff the police guy but he was a notorious dickhead. One time he pulled me over and tried to get me on a DUI when I didn’t drink and made me go through the whole thing and I said I could just save our time and do a breathalyzer and he lost his shite and gave me warning for “violating improved highway.”

I outran a Florida Highway Patrol back in the early 90’s in my IROC Z28. I was on my way to St Augustine Beach. He was in a big and slow Crown Vic. He had no chance. I took a country road and just hauled arse for a while until I couldn’t see him anymore. Then I took a dirt road and hid. He went past me.

In the late 1990's we used to tailgate next to Locket Hall and me and my wife got a late start one game, so we decided to take my motorcycle to the tailgate spot for easier parking. At this point, the police had the inner campus barricaded and I was not able to get near Lockett and I attempted to go around a barricade when a police officer sees me and starts chasing me on foot. I lose him and get to the tailgate spot and laugh about it, go to the game. Waiting in traffic next to stadium after game a BRPD rolls up on me and writes a ticket for (1) Running a police barricade, (2) wreck less operation of a motor vehicle; and (3) Eluding a police officer (which is a big deal). Luckily, I woman I worked with had a brother who was lawyer at Fisher Phillips and got it knocked down to careless operation of a motor vehicle and a small fine of $100.

I’ve gotten away from em a couple times. Not running on foot per se but they were obviously looking for me

Not sure if this counts as outrunning, but i had a friend in high school whose mom and dad divorced, her mom had an apartment our senior year during the divorce. The mom was always going out of town and her daughter was in my friend group, so we were always having smallish parties at the apartment. The apartment was on the bottom floor of the complex.

We’re having a party one night, more people attended than normal, and the cops ended up getting called. When the officer showed up, myself, my girlfriend at the time, and another one of my buddies were standing on the little porch facing the parking lot smoking.

Cop tells us to go inside, I say “yes sir.” We waited until he knocked on the front door and calmly climbed over the guardrail and walked off. Cop was never the wiser. Party got busted up, though and had to leave without my beer.

Cop on foot at the park on N Sherwood would radar cars heading south. He tried to signal me but something told me to act oblivious and turn my head like I was checking my side view mirrors to change lanes. I saw him in my rear view throwing up his hands having a hissy fit that he couldn't stop me. Was going way too fast for him to read my license plate. Does this count as as a successful getaway?

Tried that back in '83.... judge was not amused....traded a potential lot of time for a stint in the Army.... best thing for any dumbass 17 year kid.
