After a long day's work? I'm not talking about drinking and driving plastered. Just a tallboy. I remember my dad doing this and all his friends, as well.

A foreman who I became friends with used to make us take turns buying two for the road everyday if we rode with him in the company truck. I used to think it was a terrible move but now I wish I found myself doing it but I don’t.

I have an uncle that used to regularly. Not long ago he had just cracked it and some gal rear ended him, throwing beer all over him before he even took a sip. Had to do some creative cleanup before the cops arrived. He stopped since.

My dad always had a 16oz miller lite. I don't do it though, mainly because I have an hour and 20 minute ride and don't feel like making a stop on the way

Can't say I've ever had the urge. If I want to drink I'll make a pit stop at the neighborhood dive or just crack one when I get home.

I got hit by some teenager once and had a 6 pack of tallboys on the seat. They flew and a few of them busted showering me and the entire inside of the vehicle in beer

My old boss called them 'road sodas'. But this was back when we were digging ditches for the gas company. Not much better than an icy cold beer after a day of digging ditches in the Alabama heat during the summer.

I did almost every day I worked in college, but I also biked into work. I would avoid the main drag and just bike through neighborhoods drinking a beer.
ETA: In the early 90's my Dad would pack a 6 pack and take us all for a drive around town. Different times back then when you lived in a small town and went to school with the Sheriff

I go directly to the gym after work; That's my tallboy.
Helps my brain, stress levels and body a lot more than a short buzz.
That's not to say I don't enjoy alcohol, but I typically keep that for the weekends. Weekday drinking is a slippery slope.
