I just finished sitting for a weeklong criminal trial. First time I've ever been picked for a panel. Every other time I was dismissed before voir dire.
A retired cop was accused of impersonating a police officer & false imprisonment. It felt like a bad law school mock trial. It took us about 30 seconds of deliberation to acquit him.

I sentenced to death a guy I knew was innocent because he was a Bama fan. I feel pretty good about it I guess.

One time I sat there for 7 hours then they told me the case was settled so I got to go home. Not a bad day.

I sat in a room for three hours.
My case didn't go to trial.
They gave me a check for $11.

Nothing interesting but have been selected twice and was foreman both times; 1 acquit and 1 guilty. The acquittal should have never gone to trial; the main witness was not very reliable.
The guilty verdict guy skipped bail the night before we deliberated. The state offered him 4 yrs in jail with 5 yrs probation in a plea deal and he turned it down.....the guilt verdict GUARANTEED a minimum of 20 yrs.

I do, but from the other side of it. Not allowed to say. But it would make you mad. Ok, one thing....while yall are sitting in those little rooms for hours on end, we're drinking coffee, eating donuts or pizza, and shooting the shite. I kid. Sorta.

I sat on medical malpractice jury several years ago. I was the last juror picked, since the judge was aware that I am a lawyer.
Plaintiff's expert testified that he believed the doctor exceeded the standard of care. I slammed by note book shut and tossed it beneath my chair.
When the witness left the stand, the doctor's attorney moved for directed verdict, which was granted.
The people on the jury were pissed bc they wanted to stick it to the man.

My wife recently served on a jury on Orleans.
Only one to vote guilty. She said the rest of the people were about as ghetto as you can possibly get and several, including the extremely ignorant foreperson, said they "didn't care about no evidence, they was votin not guilty"
Wife said they had fingerprints, testimony, were guilty beyond any doubt. The foreperson tried to find out my wife's name and address repeatedly because she was mad my wife would vote guilty against black men because that weren't her place.
Needless to say it was a frustrating experience. She came home almost crying about the process.
Orleans Parish ladies and germs.
To be fair, I also served on an Orleans Parish jury, was the foreman, and we voted unanimously guilty within 2 hours.

Was on jury for a rape case.
They showed graphic pictures during opening statements.
I fainted and pissed myself in the box.
Got to go home.

The 2 or 3 times I got it, I had to call the night before to see if there was going to still be a trial and each time they had reached a plea.

I was a member of the Federal jury in NOLA that found Jim Garrison guilty of income tax fraud. December 1971.

They just didn’t want you there since their ramp was under construction. Avoided the lawsuit and replaced your arse.

I was picked for Lee Harvey Oswald's trial but he never made it to court.

They are also required to show each individual item of child pornography involved in a case. Sometimes 3, sometimes 300. Try to get off those if possible. Throw up and faint, like u said.
