My sister had a personal assistant from KC reach out to her about their house. $6k a night. They wired the funds yesterday. Their mortgage was covered for the rest of the year and a little left over for a trip up to see us for that week.

FYI its tax free since its less than 14 days, huge benefit for a lot of people.

I'm renting out my butlers house on St charles and my second home in the Garden Disctrict. Haven't decided on if I'm renting the condo in the quarter out. S$

I’ve never seen it this crazy with rental rates in this area for next week.
Ceasars just opened their new hotel next to the casino and was pimping rooms for $5k a night with a three night minimum.

Someone told me a Motel 6 in New Orleans East was at $600 a night.

The few rooms left in the city are going for 3k at shitty places.

If you can rent your place out and don’t mind doing it can probably make a decent amount.

Another cha Ching event if you have a short term rental*. 25 will be a good year.

*Per the NO City Council ABnBs are not allowed in the corporate limits if the city.

Did it back in 2013 when I lived in the Quarter.

Was gonna be hard to stay there anyway so listed on Craigslist for $1k a night and a really nice father and son took it for a couple nights.

Probably could've gotten much more but it was last minute and was an easy $2k, which was alot for me at the time.

I've had one in The Bywater since 2006. Stays full mostly with return customers or referrals.

I talk to my Counicil person (thats right) pretty often and if you arent listing on ABnB or VRBO you are good to go. They dont have the manpower (or the will) to enforce compliance.

Everybody knows Esplanade Av and that area right? I would bet a lot of money that 70% of the units in that area (from the quarter to the park) are STRs.

So wrong. They opened up the city to short term rentals a few years back, but are still tweaking the rules.

Just google 'AirBNB New Orleans' or 'VRBO New Orleans' and see all the results you get, with the license number included.

Jefferson Parish, on the other hand, strictly outlawed all short term rentals including AirBnB and VRBO a few years ago.
