Yes, was a long time ago. Maybe Switzerland. Was as forgettable as it is in the US. We were just curious to see what it was like there. The fondue, however, was amazing though not at McD’s.

A couple of years ago at McDonald’s in Saudi Arabia the menu was similar but there were a few unique items. Two I tried:

McArabia Chicken - basically a McChicken on pita bread instead of a bun.
Chicken Mac - Big Mac with chicken patties instead of beef (I feel like I saw this here a few months ago but it was new to me when I saw it in KSA)

Actually ate at one for the first time in a decade Monday night late in England. It was at the equivalent of a restaurant stop coming back from Harry Potter studios with the kids. It was my first day driving and I was a bit stressed with all the left lane roundabouts so I grabbed something quick. It tasted a bit better than ours but I may have just been hungry.

Ate at one in Japland. None of them spoke English and they still got my order right.

Superior service at the ones in Australia. Probably because they employ young adults who are just trying to make some scratch and not mid-age people of a certain minority group who have made a lifetimes worth of shitty decisions and don’t care anymore.

The only time I was ever in Bourbon County was to buy a Jeep. Didn’t stop at the McD’s.

I stayed at a hostel in Lisbon and went out to the bars with a random German guy who was crashing there. We got hammered and stumbled into McDs and ate what seemed like the best burger of our lives. In hindsight, nothing was different but I think you could buy beer.

Ate a burger at McDs in Tokyo airport once. At that point, hadn’t eaten fast food in years and it was very tasty. Someone said it had to do with the Australia beef they use but I never looked it up.

Ireland and Argentina both had adjusted menus. Argentina, surprisingly, had a four patty cheeseburger.

Fries in Europe are with mayo like op said. You have to go to the condiments counter in dig around to try to find ketchup..

Not macdonalds but had kfc in China. It was on skewers and grilled with dipping sauce.. had Pizza Hut also. We ordered a few pizza and looked like the typical American glutens. They will get a small or medium fur large family.. it was really not very good .. deep pan but sopping with butter.

We were just curious .. was a poor decision..
Subway is pretty consistent no matter were you are in the world.

I ate at a McDonald’s in South Dakota.
It sure did feel like another country compared to the McDonald’s in Louisiana.
