I don’t recall Blue Light. This was back in 1982’sh. I just remember going to a house and getting home cooked food, done right!

I went to Tech because it was the only school I applied to.

And I am smarter than you.

Lucky fricker I did, DWI capital of the USA. If you are driving after 11PM you are drunk until proven otherwise.

This. Early 2000s, RPD got downright ridiculous with the DWIs. They’d pull you over for doing 34 in a 35 just to see if you’d been drinking.

And If you were going to Rabbs or Q-Nasty, youd better had a driver that hadn’t had a drop of alcohol in 3 days ready to drive you.

Go back and check Ruston out now. Still a small fun town. But now downtown is kind of gentrifying. It’s built up. Got more businesses. A little nicer. Campus too. And north of the interstate.

Did you do aviation at Tech? If so, you were leaving as I was coming in.

Was well established when I was there in late 70's to mid-80's. Roommate was a student FI so he took me up many times for free lessons, flying as far south to the Kisatchie NF to buzz my family's house. Some of the students had a plan to do an unauthorized missing man formation using the 152's from the school for that female student pilot who was killed when she crashed in heavy fog- she didn't realize she was upside down and flew into the trees. Was supposed to have flown over the stadium one night but don't recall if it actually happened.

Elbow after a rebound- I think it was a Rice player. Malone would swing his elbows pretty bad. Played against him in once in a pickup game at Lambright in his sit-out year before he became eligible his second year at Tech.
