I’ve been noticing lately a decent number of nerdy adults skateboarding around like little kids. Fully grown, balding dudes riding skateboards. It seems like if they want exercise riding a bicycle would be a better option. I don’t know what is more strange..... an adult riding a skateboard or the extreme Star Wars fans. And FWIW, I like Star Wars.

I couldn't imagine caring about what other grown adults do that has no effect on me.

That’s a painful hobby to start as a full grown adult.

I used to skate as a kid but gave it up when I started pushing 180+.

What exactly is your issue with skateboarding? It takes a lot of skill and determination to be able to comfortably ride one, and its great exercise. It impresses the hell out of me to see someone shred on a skateboard. Sometimes I'll watch youtubes. Weird thing to take issue with.

I think it's a requirement to join the local Antifa chapter.

I agree. Skating is one of the coolest endeavors when done well. Those cats are tough too. Smacking concrete is hard on the body.

Probably don’t give a frick what insecure guys on the internet think. Shame on them for spending quality time with their children doing hobbies they both enjoy, right?

I grew up skating as a kid until I was almost out of High School. My 8 year old niece asked for a skateboard for Christmas last year and I was so pumped to give it to her that I bought myself one too. We make days out of going to the skatepark together then to get ice cream after. Can I do all the cool shite I could back in the day? Of course not, but it’s fun to teach kids to be active outside and ride around reminiscing of the fun I had when I was young and doing the same thing. Laugh and judge all you want, I just hope we’re making great memories together.

LOL, I actually just left the Skate Shop about 30 minutes ago.

I am getting my son into it.

This was my first deck I had (this is just a pic, not mine)

I've still got my longboard from college. Balance is way worse now but sometimes I'll take it around the neighborhood with the dog on a leash. She basically walks herself and pulls me along
