Put gun powder on one end, light it and then tug on the other. Better yank on 2 and not 3.

Assuming that harpoon is hollow inside, they should just saw it off at the scalp and let him live with a hole through his head.

How would you get that out 200 hundred years ago and still live? Maybe pull it out a half inch, let it heal for 24 hours, pull it out another half inch, let it heal for 24 hours and then repeat until completely out?

200 years ago you'd die from infection. The guy will be showing everyone those pictures for years.

So how does one properly address this situation? Without killing the victim?

You leave it in and get to the ED like others have said. You can put gauze or a tshirt or whatever around the wound to help control bleeding. But the absolute worst thing you can do is pull it out.

As for what the surgeon will do, that's beyond my knowledge. I imagine theyll be winging it to and extent as well. Gonna need a baw who's a neurosurgeon on board.

I imagine they do some CAT scans and x-rays and make sure he hasn't pierce any major arteries. Or damaged anything serious.

Looks like it went below his brain, so that's good.

If all that looks good, just pull it and and sew him up?

I dont know if he would need surgery to repair his cheek bones and nasal cavities or not.
