Never been duck hunting.

Deer, rabbit, squirrel, hog hunting yes.

I made the mistake of picking up a bow a few years ago and lost a lot of interest in gun hunting. Shooting a bow is so much fun.

It’s a lot easier for someone in the south, especially south LA, than anywhere else in the country

I know what you mean. I can count on one hand the people I know that are serious hunters - guys that could take me if I wanted to go.

I haven’t hunted hard in a couple years, but that’s where I was. I like to gun “hunt”, but sitting in a box where you can see 500 yards ain’t really hunting to me

And you have to deal with the land grabbing, poaching, bitching fart sniffing morons.

I had some Redneck get all huffed up because I was hunting on my own land where he had built a stand 10 ft from our fence. F these a HOLES

Invited me often, but never forced me no. I remember my older brother fricking with me about going but that was normal behavior from him.

He both hunted and fished often. I latched on to the fishing part but whatever reason never wanted to hunt.

It's part of the business culture here, whether it's oil and gas, banking, politics, etc there are more deals done at the camp than the boardroom.

It's similar in my industry, except swap the camp for the golf course.

Call game warden. That’s illegal in a lot of places

Hunting is kind of a bitch to be honest. You can grab a fishing pole, go to a park, and catch fish. You can catch a limit of red fish on foot off of LA 1. That's not going to happen when you go hunting, legally anyway.

Yes and fishing is as well. Lots of $$ invested in a good rod/reel and then all the different lures add up in a hurry.

Fishing can be expensive, but entry level stuff is cheap. You can catch catfish with $20 and a car. The barrier to entry for hunting is much higher.

I’ve deer and duck hunted as an adult, never interested as a kid. Still not interested, have never gone because I wanted to. I used to love fishing, went through a faze where I was at it every weekend, even that’s gone away. Now I just love being at the camp. Beer, cigars, and cooking is what I enjoy these days.

Of course my almost 14 year old is nuts about both, which is good, keeps me involved with it with out having to do it.

I've never been hunting. Just didn't appeal to me. I would rather go fishing. I do love my guns though and enjoy target shooting.

We play golf too but that's 4 hours when a trip to the camp is multiple nights

Oh i still enjoy hunting with a rifle. But archery is just so much fun. If I had a choice I’d pick my bow every time.

One day when I’m OT rich i want to get into distance shooting. Build a 1000yd rifle.

how is this possible?

I'm in a similar situation. I know of some people who hunt obviously, but none of my friends are hunters.

I grew up in rural Vermilion parish, and I've never gone legitimately hunting. I shot black birds in my backyard as a kid though

It has nothing to do with me not liking the idea of killing animals. I don't really care about that. It's just that I don't really have a strong desire to go hunting.

So do I, and I don’t look down on it or people who enjoy it. But it is nowhere near the level of hunting that bow hunting is
