I have customers who like to hunt(mainly birds)And some who like to fish(mainly saltwater)And some who like to Golf. And some who like to attend sporting events. And some who like to go to good concerts. And some who like to dine. Most of them like all of that stuff. I like all of that stuff. It's a good fit.

How do you cook your duck?

ETA: I don't normally eat farm raised duck but I'll agree it's pretty awesome. The real benefit to me though is that the breast meat is so much thicker.

And how do you cook YOUR duck? I love the hell out of wild duck and really enjoy cooking it through the offseason, so I'm always looking for new recipes. It's an incredibly versatile animal in the kitchen, provided you're keeping more than just straight breast meat.

Pan seared. Very difficult to beat IMO.

Pan seared is fantastic, I agree. I like whole roasted as well. A couple of times a year I'll make duck pastrami or duck prosciutto too. And then the teal and legs I'll generally slow cook in a gumbo or brown gravy. I saved a bunch of livers this year to play with too, probably in a Wellington or dirty rice. And I almost always sear the hearts within a day or so of the hunt. I do have one pack of them in the freezer tho.

If I got really short on time and just peeled and breasted out the duck, I'll do the bacon wrapped duck bombs thing, but that's the easy route.

You ever hunt squirrels with a .22 or a .17? Its my favorite hunt. You actually move around and feel like you are hunting more than setting a trap to ambush something.

Pretty much this. Never was a fan of traditional hunting growing up in LA. With that said, hunting on an African Safari is fun as frick.

Grew up in SoLA as well. Fished my whole life and am relatively proficient at it.

Did the hunting thing later on in college with the old man and killed a fair share of hogs and deer. I, as well, never got the bug. Cold, butchering, work, etc. Nope. No fun. Had a couple of harsh settings with a trapped Razorback where we had to dispatch the animal......not for me.

Dove hunting is fun though. Walking cane fields and plinking away is a blast. The birds are damned tasty as well.

Well, that's just ignorant.

I can do both of those things, but I don't see how that is relevant to hunting.
