Depends. The range varies. Some days it’s very low and some days it’s very high. Also depends on what you’re looking for.

OT Cops all live in Crowley. They've made it their own "Copland" to get away from the dregs. Don't frick with them. Harvey Keitel will kill your arse and feed you to alligators.

Are you the one that sits at 3115/30 and gets the plant baws with expired inspection stickers as they get off of work?

A lot of cops, especially on highways won't even budge till you hit 15mph over. They give 10 over.
But, if they are being pressed for more tickets, it could be right at 10-12 is the start.

It depends on what they are doing and looking for? For DUI’s, those numbers will be way less. Just out running traffic, probably will be higher.

this is how it goes
in 55+ areas they wont come after you unless you are 10 over the limit in almost all cases
in 40-45 zones its more like 5 over is the max you get away with
in subdivisions with 15, 20, or 25 zones you generally only get 2-3 over
in school zones they will write you up anything 1 over the limit
i have asked cops from many different areas and these seem to be the unwritten guidelines they use, but be aware, if he got in a fight with his wife or got jumped by his boss that day all bets are off on a "grace period" over the limit

Over 6 and you'll be sucking dicks in OPP.

I once was. I never wrote a ticket for less than 10 mph, unless it was in a residential area where the limit was 35mph or lower. In that case, it had to be 5 mph over the limit.
I once had a buddy who worked for CHP (Cali), he would write tickets for 5 mph over on the interstate. He was a prick, though. Lol

This appears accurate. 7 mph over on the interstate is not the same as 7 mph over in a 35 mph zone. Common sense prevails. And people generally know what areas are speed traps. Make it easy on yourself and get a radar detector.

You know it. When you’re making that kind of money in the plants, you should be able to pay to get an inspection sticker, otherwise you’re gonna have to pay my city more money. We like taking people’s money here in St. Gabriel

10% of the posted speed limit. For example, if the SL is 20, over 22 and you get a ticket, over 66 in a 60.
Posted on 1/12/20 at 3:13 pm to DustyDinkleman
I always though 10% was the unwritten rule?
Posted on 1/12/20 at 3:15 pm to DustyDinkleman
They'll give you 5, you can take 2 more.

What happens when you speed and get pulled over...show your badge and skate?
