In many cases people conflate simple with easy, you are doing it in this case.

Despite all the variables eating fewer calories than one burns is the way to lose weight. The issue is that some people's bodies just don't want to burn a lot of calories when you cut off the supply. This is compounded because a lot of people with a lot of extra weight can't do cardio at a high enough intensity to burn a significant number of calories above their BMR at least in the amount of time a day they can and are willing to devote to exercise.

The formula is simple but not easy for a lot of people. Even counting calories can be complex and thus not easy. FDA labels are allowed a 20% margin of error which in the worst case scenario can completely void what one thinks of as their deficit. Even with fairly homogeneous whole foods you have to break out the scales and not use the standard calories for a particular item.

I've been exercising like a feind and lost about 10 lbs before my appetite went crazy and I started eating everything. Not gaining but not losing now.

The big thing that I found that helped was eating smaller portions. Also, I drink about half a can of Dr. Pepper in the morning and everything else is water. I joined a health club and exercise 3-4 days a week and I have lost about 30 pounds. It just takes discipline.

I've been on a strict chemotherapy regimen - it works wonders for weight loss!
J/k - I lost a few lbs during chemo but they came right back after. Just cut your carbs, ditch booze, jog and lift every other day and the weight will fall right off. I'm out on medical leave right now and since it's impossible to exercise regularly while on the road I'm taking full advantage of having gym access to put on some muscle and shed some weight I've gained while on the road the last decade.

I have done intermitten fasting for quite some time.

Easiest “diet” i have ever done.

I eat a bunch in a 4 hour window and then don’t eat anything else the other 20 hours. It’s not tough either. Your body doesn’t need food as often as most people eat

Weighed in at 225 this morning. Was at 275 54 weeks ago. Down from 23% body fat to 11%. For me, it was all about hiring a personal trainer. And, it was the BEST money I have ever spent. I absolutely love working out now. Portion control is also the other BIG change for me. Adn, weight is just falling off.

frick off. Beer is just calories and carbs just like everything else.

I went from 215 to 190 and I drink every single day. Some days yeah I don't eat a meal so I can have the calories. Just fits into your overall macros.

I lost 20 lbs in about 4-5 months and never stepped foot in a gym, or even did any cardio for that matter.

One fried egg and a glass of OJ in the morning

Lunch was a small salad($3.00 in the deli section at Walmart), small bag of chips and water with a flavor packet

Snacks were a serving of whatever fruit I have.

Dinner is one serving of whatever my wife cooks plus water to drink.

No sodas, no fast food, no late night snacks.

Weekends/holidays are tough. I have a semi cheat day once every two weeks.

Went from 214-194. Goal weight is 185. I'll hit that before next summer.

Lost 26 pounds since August

Cut mostly carbs

Basically doing a lot of grilled meat.

If it will rot my gut bacteria will help eat it so all my food needs fridgerated or frozen

I can eat corn (carb) but won't eat bread

I had a stomach bug yesterday. Lost 6lbs of water weight in 18 hours. I'm feeling lean AF. Might try to keep myself dehydrated so I can maintain this vascular look I got going on...

Count calories, lot of cardio, mix in some weight lifting here and there so you don't become skin and bones. That's how I lost almost 40lbs. Just takes discipline until it becomes part of your routine.

Try taking a break from drinking. May make you less irritable . Probably will make you fitter. Definitely will help your liver.

I’ve struggled with a lot of things in my life but luckily weight has not been one of them. I just don’t really care to eat very much because it makes me feel tired. Oatmeal for breakfast, sometimes the rest for lunch or a sandwich and a normal meal for dinner. No alcohol whatsoever (not for dietary reasons, but because I used to severely abuse it) and I walk about 15 miles a week during the evenings.

Checking in at 5’11 and 150 lbs. I’m skin and bones though and need to gain some muscle. I’d lift weights if they weren’t so freaking heavy.

Actually when you’re eating low carb/keto you should up your sodium intake.
