Lol. Whatever bruh. I spend my time enjoying life and not worrying about what I look like. I’m simply saying I’m thankful for my genetics. Heart disease and heart attacks don’t run in my family. We live to late 80’s and into the 90’s. Alfa genes.

1,600 calories, at least 3 miles a day with the dog, and some sort of workout regime (today is back/bicep). My biggest current obstacle is fighting my depression, which really has sunk in again. I lost about 10 pounds 3 months ago, but it's all back because when I hate myself, I go numb and just eat to pass the time.

Push Pull Legs split 6 days a week
Lots of protein bro
Just trying to stay in a caloric deficit and lowering sugar intake. None of that paleo/keto BS. Just make better choices and hit your macros.

Actually when you’re eating low carb/keto you should up your sodium intake.

your sodium will probably be fine, its the other electrolytes like potassium magnesium calcium etc you need to worry about with keto

I’m sorry to hear this. Battle through it, my friend. I’m the opposite, when I get depressed (but more often, it’s anxiety that gets me), I stop eating completely. Everything taste like dry cardboard.

Mental health issues are health issues nonetheless. Mine are manageable these days but I’ve struggled with it mightily in the past. It’s nothing to sneeze at.

I am down 50lbs since March and to be honest I cut out all sodas/sugary drinks, cut down junk food, and eat normal sensible meals. Instead of chips grab an apple or a fruit, drink more water, drink tea and coffee without sugar or milk, you don't have to cut out carbs all together ,but don't stuff yourself with bread all the time, eat more vegetables and lean meats, watch the alcohol consumption I limit myself usually to the weekend, but I am not a heavy drinker anyway. Exercise ,and also if you can walk or ride a bike for short distance walk your dogs etc. Changing small bad habits can go a long way. I am feeling better, haven't had heart burn in a while and I am sleeping much better. Last I will say don't try to lose it all at once just make a conscious effort to change the bad habits and it will come off bit by bit.

I pretty much eat fish, shrimp, and chicken. Once a week I eat red meat. Bacon and ham for breakfast when I eat breakfast

I've been plateaued out, and I often wonder how much this makes a difference?
I eat way more red meat than fish, chicken, seafood.

It really is that simple. People are just lazy, ignorant, and don’t think about how much/ what they’re eating. Once you start paying attention and logging the calories that you consume, it is quite easy to do without some higher calorie food items or substitute them for low calorie options

Right. Honestly, if you just cut out breakfast and fast from 9pm to noon the next day you will lose a bunch of weight. People need to stop eating for pleasure and look at it for what it is. Sustenance

I find it hard to get in enough sodium even with heavily salting my meals because I only eat two meals a day. I take two sodium pills in the morning and that helps. I can’t stand drinking salt water. It’s amazing what good sodium levels can do for your energy levels.

cut down your sugar and carbs, even for just during the week and you’ll be surprised at how easy it is to shed a few ell-bees

Quit Drinking, bring my lunch to work now instead of eating out everyday, and downloaded the couch to 5k app and started running 3 times a week.

its the tried and true diet of: consume less, move around more.

ETA don’t think of it like a diet. People go off of diets. Think of it as a lifestyle change.

This.

I've lost over a hundred pounds slow and steady over the last few years but have never felt like I've been on an eternal diet.

-I quit drinking sodas. Now it's water and ice tea, coffee in the morning.

-I quit drinking during the week for the most part, but still drink on the weekends. On vacations or special occasions I'll drink a few during the week.

-I try to exercise a few times a week. Cardio and light weights. Not a slave to the gym.

It took me a long time to learn not to over eat. Growing up, we were required to "clean our plate" and it carried over to my adult life.

-Portion control and not eating a lot of processed foods and crap.

-I eat off of a salad plate instead of a full size plate, that helps with controlling your portions.

I've never considered it a diet but a lifestyle change.

If you put your mind to it, you can do it.

Good luck!

Nope.. read into it. A lot of people don’t understand it and I think it’s a root cause for a lot of issues. Remember the same government that tells you to eat loads of carbs is the same government giving sodium recommendations.
