Uhh yeah, except we have that thing called the constitution.

He can't say what the gun law would be though. Do we even know how this guy got his gun?

Sarcasm? Because there are mass stabbings. And trucks of peace. And shootings. And bombs

Mass stabbing deosnt equal mass killing.

Feel free to list all the mass stabbing that reached double digit deaths.

Thanks.

Yep a good guy or gal with a conceal carry and problem solved

Not exactly. Yeah sure there's a chance the good guy might stop the bad guy. But how many regular citizens have combat training or can calmly deal with a chaotic situation such as a gunman mowing down a crowd.

Yeah, I've never agreed with the "good guy with a gun" line. I'd have very, very little trust in a random "good guy" with a gun staying cool, calm and collected in an active shooter situation.

shite, I don't trust the average person to negotiate a 4-way stop correctly or use an ATM in under 5 minutes.

The last thing I want is some untrained goober with a gun to try and play hero.

An undertrained good guy firing from any cover may not be a match for a motivated killer but just may be enough to delay or deter enough to provide valuable time for help to arrive, the primary asset a active shooter has is knowing he has free reign of the situation for several minutes.

You realize how ignorant you are because we have had multiple instances in recent memory where citizens have taken down gunmen right? Some with guns and some without.

Some baw living nextdoor to the church in Sutherland Springs took out the shooter (who had an AR15) with his own AR15.

Not all citizens with guns are created equal

Imagine getting accidentally capped by an accountant who thinks he's Liam Neeson just because he's concealed carrying in an active shooter situation.

I'm not anti-gun by any means, nor do I think that it's an "across the board" bad idea to have armed citizens in these situations. Far from it.

I'm simply saying that not everybody needs to have a gun.

In fairness, in that situation, the shooter had left the church when he was engaged and the shooter killed himself during the chase after he was wounded. In that case, the good guys helped bring him to (frontier) justice but didn't stop any of the shooters planned killing at the church but could have saved others including LEOs lives in the aftermath.

Yeah, the "well they'll stab you, blow you up, or run you over" argument is so disingenuous.

In America they'll shoot you, plain and simple. They do other things in other countries because the access to guns isn't easy, but all else being equal, a gun is the weapon of choice for the mass murderer in America.

I'm not sure how anyone can really debate that fact. Guns are immensely popular in this country, and one of the reasons is because they're very efficient killing machines. Pointing out there are other weapons doesn't change that.

Oh I know, "frick" is more an OT colloquialism and I want to keep the discussion to your level.

Stabbings so bad in britain they are sending their kids to africa.

And more than one person died in Japan.

How about we actually use the death penalty? And not 20 years after the guilty verdict?
