An apparent argument over not saying "thank you" for opening the door of a Brooklyn smoke shop ended with a 37-year-old man fatally stabbed late Tuesday.

Just don’t be an a-hole and say thank you next time. It’s the south, use the manners your mother taught you.

It's a garbage in garbage out society. The average American consumes a crap diet, alcohol, drugs, porn, violent movies and TV. Internet and magazine garbage too. This story is what the garbage out looks like.

It’s seems like more and more people, whom can’t defend themselves, or fight at all, want to act tough, and it doesn’t end well for them. Just leave the crazies be, don’t provoke them. I’m not saying the victim deserves it, but I’ve had similar encounters and just got the hell out of dodge. Too many crazies to be worried about petty stuff, & the law isn’t doing there jobs, which makes it worse.

I’m all for defending yourself, but if you can’t, you may want to keep your mouth shut. I can defend myself, not as well with M.S, but I conceal carry, & still choose not to interact. Too much craziness. What does it matter if some1 doesn’t open the door, or doesn’t say Ty, or pops off? Wtf does it matter, as long as they don’t put hands on me, I’m out.

the victim is said to have taunted the suspect, telling him, "Stab me if you can do it."

Is it a crime if the victim requests that you do it?

Loophole? I'd love to see him take that position in court.

Is that a valid defense in NY?

The most dangerous hood in NYC is safer than being anywhere in the entire county state of Louisiana. If it ain't murders it's hurricanes, tornados, dcrazy drivers, and floods.

I was thinking about something similar the other day. At a former workplace, two employees were standing at the workplace main entrance where, obviously, people constantly enter and exit. I walked into work to sign in, like any other morning, and was greeted with, "Say excuse me; that's so rude."

It honestly shocked that someone would think I was the one being rude in that situation. I responded, "Maybe don't have a conversation standing in front of an entrance."

I didn't even see the guy. It was an honest omission on my part. The guy looked at me like I just killed his children or something. I just got the frick out of there as quickly as I could. People are just so angry these days over nothing...

Men. Please do NOT hold doors for another man. Save that for women. The weight of a door is nothing, I’d rather you keep the AC inside and I’ll get the door myself like I always do.

If someone asks you to stab them aren’t you allowed to do it?

I walked out and this huge dude yells at the top of his lungs "YOU"RE WELCOME". Apparently angry because he held the door open for me and I didn't say thank you.
Did you think the door just opened itself on account of your greatness? Of course someone held it for you.
