The CEO has handled this about as well as Bided handled the Afghanistan withdrawal. He needs to go.

He will be relieved of his duties within a month, this statement does little to help his case with shareholders.

LOL at "Anheuser-Busch management" not knowing. That can didn't print itself for free. The postage to send it to the transvestite's home was not free. The company spent money, and ergo "management" of some sort was on board.

In reality, the Bud Light can posted by a social media influencer that sparked all the conversation was provided by an outside agency without Anheuser-Busch management awareness or approval

This is a pretty damning statement. You don’t just manufacture bud light cans without AB knowing about it?

its amazing how quickly one of the best marketers in the game can plummet like that. from Clydesdales and funny odes to obscure blue collar workers, to a divisive campaign supporting less than 1% of the population the majority of the country cringes at.

some executive earning fat bonus fell asleep at the wheel for sure

It is interesting that the top manager in charge of protecting and promoting the brand is now stating that his organization isn't setup in a way to approve brand actions for one of the most valuable brands in the world. If I were the board and shareholders, this would be the most fireable part of this whole thing. If the people that need to know don't know, you have failed in properly running your organization. Of course, that is a scapegoating fantasy that no one believes, so it doesn't matter.

That isn't disavowing anything. The response was worse than the can.

Maybe not disavow but they are certainly distancing themselves from the trans crowd with this.

I agree 100%. They have handled this very poorly. THey should have acknowledged the error, taken responsibility, and moved on.

This is an interesting situation. The OT complains that people always apologize (ie Drew Brees) when they should stand their ground. Now someone is not apologizing and people are mad about that.
Is it that corporations only apologize to woke organizations?

Here’s the thing.
Mits one thing to our Dylan Mulvaney all over commercials and cans on shelves.

It’s another to have Mulvaney do a promotion on Social Media.

Y’all basically are upset that Bd Light even tries to promote itself to Mulvaney’s audience.

You can’t say this is about bud trying to force anything on you.

Several hopes that could come out of this but likely won't would be:

1. Companies stop hiring DEI people in positions of power
2. Companies tell the Human Rights Index people to frick off

That would be a start to right the ship we have going down right now but I doubt they are brave or smart enough to do what needs to be done

Too little, too late.

Maybe these big corporations will eventually figure they need to stop catering to the few mentally deranged, in turn pissing off almost their entire consumer base.

TLDR- Go woke, go broke

Not enough. They’ve waited so long they blood is in the water and want a total mea culpa with public dismissal and groveling

Doesn't seem like he's apologizing but saying no one had any idea about this and one GUY did all of this on his own including making a bud light can. Most people are not going to believe this.

It seems so simple, but I'm sure in their management meetings there are people too afraid to pitch burying the Goliath that owned their market. If someone had the courage to pitch displacing inbev, there would be several idiots saying the business equivalent of we can't do that because silence is violence.

That's the problem. The left has tried to neuter mainstream comedy. Bud used to be raunchy and funny with their ads. Hell they had men dressed as ladies in their "Ladies Night" ads.

People want to laugh and drink inoffensive beer. Not be lectured on how a man with a 5 o'clock shadow and a cock is a lady.

If a company would just embrace a little bit of Sanity and admit that there are men and women, and they are a bit different, and that's fine...it would go a long way. Hell, get a little gay fella to do it. It doesn't matter.

But we've got to stop this pandering to mentally ill groomers. It's a bridge too far

He's trying to thread the needle between winning back their core customer base and making sure their ESG score doesn't plummet. It's fascinating to watch, and eventually he is going to realize that you really can't play both sides of this fence.

Maybe explain that they don’t actually hate their customers. Because the activist behind this campaign literally said that Bud Light’s customer base was undesirable. I believed she used the term “fratty”.

I don’t remember her saying they were undesirable. She used fratty to describe a younger crowd.
