The crime in New Orleans, Baltimore, birmingham, or wherever is indicative of the same behavior that has been seen historically worldwide.
Thieves generally steal under the belief that they’re entitled to other people’s stuff.
As things deteriorate, crime will increase.
Defund and hamstrung the police at the same time and it’s a recipe for some wild and whooly times.

If we had politicians who would put pragmatism over dogma, food shortage issues could be better alleviated. Germany did this with coal plants - didn't like it, but fired them back up to avoid heating issues in the upcoming winter.
