The Metra commuter trains in chicago all have them (they just got a grant in May to install new cameras throughout).

Amtrak President said Positive Train Control was not activated at the time of derailment.

Googled PTC. You'd think there would be an interlock of some sort.

Found a report from an Antifa web blog, showing how they put concrete on train rails. And claimed they didnt care if it killed innocent, just as long as Rail workers weren't injured. And supported more Antifa warriors to do the same.
They deleted the blog, and it's sounding like there might of been something on the rails. No one is claiming this was a possible reason, but these turds have mentioned this as a target.

I was thinking this as well. I was looking at the Google maps image and there doesn’t appear to be a crossing just before the overpass but there does appear to be easy access to the track. And the track curves just before the accident location so that would be a perfect place for someone to ditch a vehicle. Supposedly there are quite a few people who weren’t happy with this new line.

The front of the train appears to have little or no damage.
Also it appears the first car (maybe two) stayed upright and on the track.

That engine is probably the end of the train. So, the train was headed right to left in that picture. Derailed and flew off the bridge and track going into that little curve at the overpass.
The wreckage in the trees might be the lead engine, and once it was off the rails the rest of the train just keeps going straight in a line.

They also said, they warned them, because they did not want to see Train Workers get injured. Wouldn't care if others did get injured.
They also told others to do the same to tracks. Not everyone will make the call to train co. So even egging that shite on is asinine and stupid, especially as dumb as 100% of these anarchists, Antifa, libs are.

Lead engine and the first car are still on the tracks. The next two are to the right of the tracks and the rest appear to have gone straight into the forest (and over the bridge rail to the ground).

Im sure there will be lawsuits but if there was something on the track that caused the train to derail then how is that the companies fault?
