It's weird seeing the sun again.
Luckily Wednesday is my last day. Then back to the gulf coast by the end of the week.

As many as 77 people have been taken to local hospitals after an Amtrak passenger train derailed from an overpass above Interstate 5 in Pierce County, Washington. Four of those patients are considered "level red" patients, meaning they have the most severe injuries. The hospitals have set up rooms for visiting family

So this was the inaugural run of this train? And a nearby mayor said a week ago that it wasn't safe and needed more inspections?

Yikes.

This really hits close to home. I’ve driven underneath that track probably 3 or 4 times.
I. Can’t. Even.

LINK ]The Seattle Times on December 9, 2017 with the Headline: "One of last great Washington train rides coming to an end"

The Seattle Times knew of the impending disaster 11 days ago.

FOX is politicizing this pretty hard right now.

I don't like it.

Comments like the latter are amongst the 10-20% of this forum that is disturbing and shameful. When I read enough of this style of remark, I typically shut down TD for the day. If your comment is an accurate representation, wow, just wow.

Also, and frick y'all who disagree... there are a few too many tongue-in-cheek posts on this thread, given the innocent lives lost/injured in this accident/incident.

Without watching, I'm sure it's the Democrats fault. Something about Obama and caring more about solar than care about rail service

Damn the aerial coverage that shows all the cars in the woods is insane. There's cars scattered all over the ground.

Holy s*** my commute home is going to suck (I live in Oly)

Southern alternate route is fooked so I have to go north and end around to Shelton. Google maps is showing dark red around 507 to Yelm.
