America right now is just like my breakup

-We had a great 2019 just like our country did when Trump had this economy booming. Honeymoon phase all the way through
-Then we started fighting and bickering more. It was like a sickness just like COVID. I wanted to fight through it (wear mask). She didn't (didn't wear mask)
-We shut the country down. We broke up. Initiated no contact rule. Worked on ourselves.
-Quarantine ends. We try to integrate ourselves back into society and we try to slowly re-engage on our relationship
-She tries to cancel me for some benign comment I made to a friend regarding one of her friends. I refuse to apologize because I didn't do or say anything wrong. She gives back all things I gave to her and erases our history (statues)
Now, I don't know if we will ever get back together. I still love her and know she is not perfect, but this country is not perfect either and I still love it. Only time will tell if we can Make Our Relationship Great Again (MORGA) or if she will choose some other schmuck to spend the next 4 years with.
