My posture is absolutely terrible
Posted by lionking69 on 11/13/20 at 8:57 am
I feel like it's gotten worse since this whole work from home thing started and I find myself constantly hunched over while working and then just sitting stupidly on the couch when watching football.
Has anyone ever bought one of those posture correcting devices and if so, any recommendations?

I spent around 5 weeks there off and on over last year and while I didn't venture to many rough areas I really liked CDMX.
Never felt unsafe and food was fantastic. I'll have to reference some maps to find the recommendations but I'll try to pass along.
That would be awesome! Thank you and thanks to everyone in this thread. I’m excited
Might have to live in Mexico City for 3 months

Once COVID clears up, there’s a pretty good chance I’ll be heading up a project in Mexico City for a couple months. Anyone ever been? How safe is it? Things I must do? Places to eat?
Also, if it helps, I’m 27 and fluent in spanish.

Cigar Gang of the OT: How often do you smoke?
Posted by lionking69 on 7/20/20 at 12:28 pm
Usually I'll light one up about once a week, but lately I've been going through about two a day since I'm bored as hell in quarantine. Weather has been nice so I'll sit outside on the deck and have one with some whiskey. Putting some music on and chilling has really helped me relax during these crazy times.

I feel ya man, it's been hell for me too. Broke up with my girl right before this whole quarantine shite went down. Sucks hella arse not being able to distract myself from that, but I'm pulling through. I basically just look forward to college football season, but I kinda think thats not gonna happen anymore so hell continues.

You could do whatever the frick you wanted and someone would call you on it and you’d just say “hey it’s a free country hombre”. And they could say nothing except stand there absolutely speechless.
The libs really want to take that from us smh. Now you just get cancelled. My family didn’t flee Cuba for this shite.

I agree with this. Don't think he ever had the pro goods, kinda like tebow. I do think he could have hung around in the NFL a bit longer though as a backup if he didn't frick up.

I honestly think Manziel has got his shite kinda together.
Agreed. Just because he's not in the NFL or playing football anymore doesn't mean he can't still have fun. He's 27, golfing everyday, and seems to be happy.
He's acknowledged his past mistakes and knows he fricked up. He had a chance that every kid dreams of and blew it due to his immaturity. He had countless off the field issues and apparently was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 24-25. That's a tough mental illness to navigate such fame with when it was undiagnosed for so long. Obviously that is not an excuse for him, but to make the mistakes he made and to be enjoying life now like he is, kudos to him.
I'm interested to see where he'll go with his life from here. Maybe broadcasting?

Not true. I had a similar experience and ended up knocking boots with her about 2 months later and then dating her for 4 years.
Don’t wait around tho, go on and bone other broads until she comes back around, if she does.
Also had a similar situation. It’s entirely possible this chick had a good time with the dude, but just realized she’s not ready to date yet after her relationship ended. Everyone’s different. It’s also entirely possible she did let him down nicely. Just do you OP and if she comes back around, dope, if not, plenty of other gals out there.

This thread has me so glad I am no longer in the dating scene.
Dating is so trash these days. Everything is a game. Girls, even the wildebeests, have tons of options so everything you do pretty much has to be perfect. There’s a lot of good advice in this thread for the games you have to play. Honestly what works best is just minding your own business doing the things you love and being passionate about them and the girls will come.

I’m half Cuban and practically grew up on GOYA products. An iconic Hispanic-owned company. Even more awesome to see a CEO that won’t cower to the mob. Gonna head to the grocery store and load up myself!

Thanks man. Still an everyday battle for me, but I’m able manage it a lot better and live about as normal a life as I possibly can. Was always too stubborn to get help, but obviously very glad I did.

My OCD took over my life to the point where it took so much from me that I grabbed a butcher knife from my kitchen and considered slitting my own throat. I was too big a pussy to do it, called my mom, and her voice pretty much saved my life.
At that point was when I decided to get help. Much bette now.
If you’re going through a tough time people, get help. It saved my life.

How do you stop beating yourself up over past mistakes?
Posted by lionking69 on 7/8/20 at 9:20 am
Fallen into a hole recently where I've regretted a couple past decisions I've made. Obviously I've learned things from these instances, but in most of these cases I knew deep down I was making the wrong decision but did it anyway.
It's a little bit tougher when you know you knew better and feel like your life might be drastically different had you done the opposite. I guess it could be drastically worse too. Maybe one of those decisions leads to me getting hit by a car and dying or something idk.

Grandpa Joe (Willy Wonka), Upham (SPR), and Ray (Remember the Titans) come to mind immediately for me. I’m sure there are a ton more I’m forgetting

Similar situation happened to me in November. Be very careful about being the rebound. She only went out with the dude for 3 months before me, but as soon as he broke up with her she hit me up. We dated until Christmas when the dude decided he wanted her back.
If the dude broke up with her, she is still thinking about him and is just using you to fill a void. If she broke up with him, maybe she’s sick of his shite and you’re in the clear.
Most rebounds fail, but you just have to decide if this girl is worth the risk. Best of luck homie.
