Here is a work around to get your renewal for $119. While you can’t change your renewal date or renew early, you CAN gift yourself Amazon Prime at the current price of $119/year. Amazon lets you set the date the gift will be sent and it doesn’t appear to be breaking any rules to gift Prime membership to yourself. So here’s what you do:

Click here LINK and Give the Gift of Amazon Prime to yourself.

Check your renewal date by clicking “Accounts & Orders” then “Your Account” then the rectangle that says “Prime.” On the Amazon Prime screen, The renewal date is where it says “Next Payment”

Netflix just had a message when I opened it that said it was going up to $19.99 a month, I think it was like 10 or 15 prior IDR. I love how everyone is paying a shite ton in different streaming services. Can we consolidate this shite somehow.

So I still have directv and was calling to cancel a special they gave me and when doing so they knocked down my bill over 50 dollars a month and the lady told me to call back in a year and tell them I wasn't to cancel and I'll get the same rate or better.

It's cheaper for me to have directv now, I get a few apps included with other services (free HBO max, prime, Netflix from a family member and I watch peacock but it's free). Cutting the cable is now more than the traditional cable/satellite. Crazy times.

Walmart+ is better/cheaper now (and grocery delivery is great)

My experience with Walmart+ has been terrible.

Most of the time I get to place the order and wait 2 days to find out the most important stuff I needed was out of stock. Granted, we are very particular about reading labels and what ingredients are acceptable and so most things on our list have no acceptable substitutes.

And then I've had orders never show up and I've had to use the chat bot to reimburse me with a $10 credit so I can order a same-day express delivery.

Their online ordering system is also really buggy. For some items, if I add too many it switches to completely "Out of Stock" until I remove the item and re-add it again with a lower quantity. I've also had it go back and forth on what time slots are open even when mine's supposed to be reserved until I check out.

Thankfully I did only pay $49 for it due to an Amex offer, but I probably won't renew if these problems continue to occur. As it stands, they're just not reliable enough to depend on for grocery shopping.

shite. I've probably been paying more than that for years. I signed up for that crap years ago when I was broke and in college at the monthly rate...it's automatic billing and frick, I've probably wasted a couple hundred dollars over the years. Yall are probably going to lose 20 a year with this and I am going to gain 20 a year.

And oh btw, prime shipping times have been terrible. Higher price for worse service, Biden’s America.

I didn't renew fall of last year. Done that several times only to re-up when I wanted to watch a certain show.

Don't think I will next this time. Prime Shipping isn't all that special. Frankly I haven't noticed a difference in speed and I always seem to get free shipping anyway.

I'm okay with it regarding delivery of some goods I normally buy.
Some stores in DS and BR are not good with restocking their shelves, so knowing I can get the item delivered as opposed to running around is a better for me.

Meh, I had Prime for awhile last year but wound up dropping it. Not that I was particularly mad at them, basically I just ran out of things I wanted to stream and I didn't shop enough with them for the free shipping to be worth the monthly cost.

I'm coming up to the same problem with HBOMAX now, I'm starting to run out of things to watch and will probably be dumping them soon also

That's not even close to true.

I have the ultimate TV plan (HBO Max, Showtime, and everthing else you can think of) as well as 1200 Mbps internet and pay $180/month after taxes with a one year contract and no price escalation.

I often get things the next day. Sometimes same day if you order early enough. You have to make sure it's coming from their warehouse not a third party seller.
I doubt a part for your washer is stocked at Amazon. Most definitely coming from a third party.

Moving out of ATL and the delivery benefit drops way off once you get away from the warehouses and rent a van contractors.

The streaming I can do without as there hasn’t been much on their I couldn’t find elsewhere.

Where is everyone living that isn’t getting 2 day delivery???

Even during the height of COVID I still got everything I ordered through Prime the next day, some the same day

Also use prime video a lot and take advantage of getting some premium channels through them for cheaper.

Plus all the free books as well. (You get 1-2 free books a month with prime).

It’s really not about where you live. I live in south Arkansas. When I order it does not ship for 8 or so days. The friends I ship to and my parents are more rural than us and they still get two day shipping. Been happening for a year and a half and the don’t seem to give a damn about it.

Haven’t had a package arrive in 2 days in 1+ year. It’s an absolute scam at this point

I live 15 minutes from a fulfillment center, and it takes at least 5 days to get prime items, and things get lost a lot.

Amazon has officially jumped the shark.

Amazon delivery has been horrible lately. In the last month they have randomly cancelled deliveries 4 different times saying they were "Undeliverable", and that's about to be 5 times as they are jerking around another order at this moment. You can track the order, watch it leave the facility, get sent to another city, bounce around their network, and then BOOM, Undeliverable. It's a mess.

Two day shipping hasn't happened for a very long time, it's a week plus now. We do watch stuff on Prime Video and the kids use FreeTime Kindle apps.

Now we get to pay more for this? Our renewal is up in October. We're in discussion about whether we renew.

What I would pay if I paid Cox for cable with the channels I'm getting through IPTV = $222

I know people here don't like Cox, but I seriously haven't had issues with them.

I would love to drop Prime. But my wife practically orders from Amazon at least twice a week. So it's probably not going anywhere in our household unfortunately. I would love to drop it, personally. I don't shop much online. I listen to Spotify/Pandora rather than Amazon Music. Prime Video is pretty trash for the most part.

I've seen alot of people complain about 2-day shipping, but they've been pretty reliable for us aside from when the pandemic first hit.
