I’ve had it happen twice where the USPS marked it as delivered but it shows up two days later.

Best I can figure is the carrier F’d up but chose me to pad their On-Time delivery stats to earn some bonus or something.

I've had this as well. Usually same day, Saturday or Sunday delivery that they claim got delivered, but didn't. It's always shown up a day or two later.

Regardless, Amazon will make it right.

I totally thought this was going to be a parody thread about the Amazon Weed delivery thread.

Happened to me several times and Amazon always sent a replacement. Not sure what would happen if it was a 3rd party seller.

When I have an expensive package coming in, UPS/FedEx will let you reroute the package to one of their stores. I think it's free for FedEx and there is a charge for UPS. Though I think UPS gives you 2 free reroutes per year.

I've also had the problem where packages say delivered, but then show up the next day or two. It's always happened when Lasership was the carrier.

So a fairly expensive package was supposedly delivered Monday

Was it a couple Rubbermaid tote bins with some weed in it?

If it was 65 lbs of weed I know where it went.

Do you have a delivery release in place with UPS?

Because you might be screwed if so.

Down to Amazon's willingness to eat it

I think some factors are how big of a buyer you are.

I order my dog food online. One time I came home after I received a notification of delivery after placing an order and found the shipment was missing.

I called Amazon they shipped a new order for me that day. A few hours later I go outside and see a box that had been demolished basically by whomever opened the original shipment and they placed it back outside my door after seeing what it was.

Well hopefully that's how this turns out, I have heard they can be difficult to deal with.

Can you blame them? I'm sure about a million losers per month call them and claim the never recieved anything.

Honestly, I don't get how it's fine with UPS to just leave something outside a door of a home and drive off. And they are off the hook?

Yes, amazon's customer service is awful.

This has happened to my folks in Baton Rouge more than once. It’s not Amazon’s fault. The UPS facility in Port Allen is absolute garbage. They are notorious for losing packages, then are rude as hell if you ask about it. Every time Amazon sent a free replacement no questions asked.

I've had this happen with USPS twice also. Each time I initiated an investigation and the carrier said they were absolutely delivered at the time specified.

When I mention the fact that I have security cameras covering every exterior surface of my house and no one came by, they usually "find it" and deliver it promptly.

I've never had an issue with Amazon customer service. I've maid claims and they just resent the item. One came in shortly after the replacement, SO I got 1 for free. Amazon said to keep it if it showed up.

Amazon is great. They'll just send you another one and ask that if you find the first one, to send it back, because it is an "honor" system.

I've gotten a few things resent that were stolen off my porch. No issues at all.
