1. amazon charges me sales tax (TN)
2. amazon shipping (unless prime) takes longer than a week in 99% of the cases because they SIT on your order if you select free shipping
3. ebay prices from SAME SELLERS as amazon but they will ship immediately, not sit on the order for a week in a passive-aggressive attempt to drive you crazy and purchase PRIME
4. i just bought a worx pole saw that was $90 at sams, $80 at amazon but $60 directly from worx's ebay store.
5. add-on products can almost always be found for same price or less on ebay.
did i mention no sales tax on ebay?
carry on amazon-lovers.

Amazon is better but I still use ebay sometimes.

No sales tax for me thru Amazon, so suck it.

First off, false
Second, using Amazon without prime is silly. Most would agree to that

No they dont. Ive ordered plenty of things with free shipping that has gotten to me in less than a week.
ok, so that makes what i said untrue?
the last 10-15 things i purchased with free shipping took at least 2 weeks to arrive.

So you're mad that Amazon charges you the state sales tax? The horror of correct taxation.

okay but amazon has a far superior selection of erotic literature

6. Amazon's pain free return policy and customer service are 1000x better than eBay

I prefer Amazon for bying and Paypal for selling, you think you hate Amazon, try selling on it. I can sell you a $300 electronic board, you can destroy it and I have to refund you no matter what.
I hate selling appliance parts to parts changing monkeys. People buy a part and it doesn't fix the problem and then they bitch and want a refund.
I sold a guy a PCB for a GE oven the other day and he sends me this rant bitching about how his oven still gives him an F31 code. I calmly reply, "An F31 code is caused ONLY by a break in the oven sensor, either you need a new oven sensor or one of the two thermal fuses on your oven popped." what sucks is, once they buy a new board and return it, I can no longer sell it as new.
I'm about to just start giving my old stock inventory away, the inventory taxes suck arse, and then when I do try and sell I get roadblocked. Ebay at least lets you dispute things, Amazon just lets you take it in the arse and then make you apologize for it. Then they hold your money for a really long time, when Ebay gives it to you instantly.
All in all I still prefer Amazon, but not as a seller.
Also most people do not pay sales tax on Amazon, BUT we are all supposed to report ALL internet purchases and pay sales tax on them.
(just no one does)

Yes. You don't use Amazon prime, I get that. I do, and I love it.

Not everything ships from the Amazon warehouse. And if it does, it might not be that particular warehouse.

I buy local, frick both of them.

Also I find my non-prime shipments come in pretty fast. I have never waited more than five business days for a package. I literally just got a package from Amazon just now, and ordered everything for Christmas through them.
