nobody i buy from on ebay charges for shipping and more often than not i can 'make an offer' and get the item for even less than the already cheap price.
If it's "Buy it now" I always do 'free' shipping and hide the shipping and listing fees in the price, if I do an auction I always charge ACTUAL shipping fees.
There are a ton of No Longer Available appliance parts that I have when I bought the inventory of an appliance store that went out of business. They sell okay, just kills me selling to non-professionals who buy parts hoping it will fix the problem then want a return when it does not. Hell I have accounts with major suppliers and none of them will take returns for an item that I installed then removed, unless I am making a warranty claim in the item.

Ebay has changed so much in the last 5 years or so.
I remember when "No reserve" auctions meant exactly that.
Now you have people putting no reserve in their titles but starting off the auction with some ridiculously over priced number.
frick,, I bought a brand new boat in 07 on ebay from a dealer who had it listed as "No Reserve"
Drove from Baton Rouge to Guntersville Alabama to get the thing and they honored their sale.

I've got my money with out of prime. They're customer service is second to none. I've busted through 4 Fleshlights alone this year and they've exchanged each one no questions asked.

thats all. i am tired of buying stuff from ebay and getting it 2 days later and waiting another week on the things i bought from amazon.
they are S-L-O-W shipping and i'm over it.

thats how you do it.
i also check appliance parts on amazon and ebay and ebay is ALWAYS cheaper..and its not even close with the fast shipping.

it was out of warranty because the seller did not sell me a "new" product. It was 3 months old(even though still new) when the amazon third party fulfilled the order.
Amazon honored everything and gave me a full refund 10 months after the fact. The third party was no longer an amazon seller either

Great deal.
I got my Tacoma for $9,500 on a no reserve auction. I flew out to Boulder to get it. It's still worth more than I paid for it over four years ago.

(that boat was a steal)
I did once get a nice mid 80's evinrude 70HP outboard for $350 on Ebay, drove to Tulsa for that baby. Me and my budy C-los, drove there, got it then came straight home, non stop.

well that's different, I get it in that case.
In terms of what I sell, if it's still in box, it's under warranty for one year after purchase price, even if the item is five years old, because I am a licensed reseller for Whirlpool/FSP and electrolux products.

Same here. Although I haven't tried out the Prime Now service just yet. I like having it as an option.
Last week I ordered a designer purse on Amazon(non prime, third party seller) that I was told would not arrive until January 6th(was totally ok with that because I was saving over $100 on the cost of the purse). Just got a text this am...purse will be here today sometime before 8 pm

EBay must have the worst marketing department ever. I assumed they were still an auction site with some "buy it now" options. And my perception is also that it is not to place to get small random items.
Ebay is the last place I think of when I am sitting on the couch and randomly decide I need a new wine opener, book, golf glove, or dog toy. I hit up one click purchasing. Does eBay let you buy diapers, dog food, or groceries automatically on a set schedule for a discount?
And you are supposed to pay taxes on your eBay purchases, criminal.

Yeah, because people like me unload their long stock for pennies on the dollar. I am trying to sell more on Amazon because it's more "legit" in many people's eyes.
Liek I will buy a customer a part on Amazon, because I know if it fails I'm not SOL, but on Ebay I have been screwed before. That said I still buy all my used parts there for machines I sell on the appliance recycling side of things.

I know. Put in a ridiculously low bid before going to bed . Auction was set to end at 5:00 AM. I put in the bid for $6500 and woke up the next morning and saw i had won the auction. I was like 
Drove my arse all the way up there( mind you this was LSU's National Championship year and Bama was quite down at that time) and to my surprise all those gumps honored the sale.

quick hijack..i stopped my clothes mid cycle yesterday and added more and reset it to the start (tub was full of water) and i came in today and it was still sitting in tub of water even though it started.
i had to fuss with the dial to find a 'happy' place where the washer would start going again.
is there a rule about not fricking with an already running cycle with these old units?
i'm guessing i confused it.

Plus ebayers are going to ship right away most of the time because they get direct feedback. Selling can be a downer because they tend to back the buyer, but if you're responsible it is usually okay. I bought something on amazon and they didn't ship for a week and I thought wtf you'd be toast on ebay quickly. I had to email amazon and they finally got off their duffs and made it ship. Not impressed at all.
It was a gift card. I got another one and I wonder if it is going to happen again when I find something I need and can't get around here.

does anyone really do this? I admit I pay taxes on anything I sell because it's a business expense and I try to do it all by the book, but when I buy shite for me, I don't tell the government. I remember Harry Lee making a big deal about this years ago, and Jefferson parish making a push to collect internet sales tax, but I don't know anyone who actually goes through with it.
