Warehouse workers, picking orders and loading/unloading freight all day at $20/hr and likely as much OT as they want right now. Would another warehouse pay as much?
Are Boeing/Kellogg's/P&G/Cummings/GM, etc. paying that kind of $$?

This. I have a family member that works at their headquarters and I'm a shareholder. I like Amazon.
I will rarely ever feel pity for the low end low skill workers, especially those being paid what these folks do with not having gotten an education or developed any skills.
And fck off OP with your Trump crap.

I think there are stories to try and make Amazon look bad. I know two people that work for them and both love their jobs. Remember about 9 months back when there was supposed to be an Amazon strike. The news interviewed some of the people on the picket line and they didn't even work there. I am guessing there were 150 people there and only about 20 actually worked for Amazon. If there were real issues at Amazon there would have been considerably more.

That’s BS. I’ve toured multiple facilities. Nice break rooms, plenty of bathrooms, competitive pay. Sounds to me like you are looking for an excuse to not work and blame Bezos for your problems.

can't imagine the pay is stellar
Maybe it was different for other locations. But I was a driver for like 4 months. Everyone started off at 14-15/hr. Veterans who been there a while we're getting 16-17. Honestly, for a non-skilled job that basically anybody could do without prior experience, how much do you think people should get paid. I believe that pay is very generous, personally.

Again, maybe different locations are different. But we definitely got breaks on the road. We were alotted a 30 min lunch, as well as 2 15 min breaks. Now me personally, I never took my breaks. Because I don't like being on the road long. Everyday I pack my pb&j, crackers, and fruit, and I ate that over time while I was driving. I kept a bottle with me so I could pee, as well as hand sanitizer. If I wanted to, I could pee. But that would require me to go miles out of the way, and basically put me behind 15-40 minutes, depending where's the nearest restroom was.
It's not that big of a deal to me.

I can guarantee you that GM is paying more than $20 an hour. Bazos' biggest fear is warehouse unionization like that of GM employees. If things truly are cyclical, Unions should be making a comeback.

I own a whopping 3 shares of Amazon. I'm up 140% though

Different type of employee.

It’s actually more simple than that

That's pretty metal. A robot working a snake machine and unleasing cobras and anacondas on people. frick yeah.

The streets of Seattle are full of the people that bitch about working for Amazon or how they are treated. Most people that bitch about the conditions just bitch about having to work.

Some guy on here picked up a few shifts and said it wasn’t bad. He was busy, but not peeing in bottles busy. People just be lazy.

If working for Amazon is such a problem, I know plenty of Mexicans who would come over and gladly do the job just to be able to live in America. Plus it’s way better money than the stuff they normally do

You problem seems to be with capitalism. Trump supporters don’t necessarily have a problem with capitalism.

I know a handful of white-collar types with Amazon, mostly attorneys.
They're well-compensated and don't really complain, but they're miserable and the culture is putrid. They're all putting in their time for the resume and the profit sharing, but all of them plan to leave - none seem to be undecided on that. It's just a matter of when.

What did these people do?
I always though the tech space paid a ton and was known for much more laid back atmospheres (then say compared to Banks)
