Amazon Employment Propaganda Ads

Recently I've noticed Amazon has begun it's propaganda campaign that makes working there seem fun and enjoyable. I've heard nightmare stories of people having to piss in bottles because they don't get breaks and micromanaging from hell. Sounds like a horrible place to work and I can't imagine the pay is stellar. Bezos would replace everyone with robots if he could but until then he's going to continue to put billions in his own pockets while paying his employees shitty wages because that is what Amazon does.

I don’t doubt it’s not a great atmosphere to work in, but I also don’t think it’s a slave ship. If you look at the level of employee they can source, I’m sure these people don’t really want to work all that hard. I know they pay upwards of $20 an hour, which is great money vs fast food work, but they get the same type of employee. They get the ones that believe they deserve constant breaks, immediate health care, and safe spaces.

I would imagine the skills required to work on the Amazon warehouse floor are very, very low. It's all computerized and you are given an app that tells you not only where every product is located, but the fastest way to find it. If you can follow a map on a phone, that's all the skills you need.

My wife's Aunt used to work there and they don't have AC in the warehouses. They also have a quota of boxes they need to fill per hour. If they don't meet that quota, they are written up. You get written up 3 times, you're fired. I know this because she got fired for missing her quota.
